Tengo años siguiendo esta escuela empecé con mis sobrinos ahora mis sobrinos son policías enfermeras etc y ahora que me toca seguirla más de cerca por que ya tengo un hijo ahí en el tercer año estoy súper contenta orgullosa de la escuela Glen Yermo por que nos a brindado muchas ayudas mi hijo nació prematuro el doctor dijo que el siempre iría abajo de los demás niños de la misma edad y esta escuela consiguió todas las ayudas necesarias y adecuadas y ahora puedo decir que mi hijo a alcanzado las metas de los demás estudiantes y asta más , nos dolería ver que cierren esta maravillosa escuela esta pequeña pero por lo mismo los niños reciben más de sus maestros por favor no la cierren la mayoría de nuestros niños caminan para la escuela nos quiten la oportunidad de que nuestro hijos sigan recibiendo todo lo que esta escuela a brindado por años y verlos crecer profesionalmente.

in my opinion THIS IS A VERY GOOD SCHOOL IN ALL ASPECTS yes there are few students but that does not mean that it is a bad school on the contrary they give them more attention and they advance more in their studies because they focus on everything to learn and be good students representing academically I have known it from TK to 6th grade my son went and now my daughter started in kindergarten and is now in 1st grade IT IS A GREAT SCHOOL AND HONESTLY I TRAVEL FROM FAR AWAY TO BE THERE BECAUSE I THINK IT IS VERY GOOD YOU SHOULD TRY NEW HORIZONS AND REALIZE GLEN YERMO IS A GOOD DECISION

From the very first time we set foot on campus my family and I have felt welcomed and valued. My Daughter is currently in the 3rd Grade. Even with Distance Learning she feels connected and engaged with her fellow students and community. We appreciate how hard the staff works to keep us safe and informed. I also totally appreciate the Glen Yermo community. The resources that are available and the genuine care for each student is extraordinary. I love the celebration of successes not just in academics but in school citizenship too. Thank you for setting my Daughter up for success in school. We enthusiastically look forward to many more years.

Glen Yermo feels like a small family. I know the teachers and principal, and the PTA has been welcoming and inclusive. We love this school.

This depends on the year and the classroom teacher. A past principal and the district seemed to put teachers first rather than kids and there seems to be a lingering staff culture from this. Currently, our concerns are regarding the curriculum, the excessive and redundant homework, and a primary grade teacher who seemed a poor fit to teach younger children.

This is a wonderful school that supports students in not only academics, but in emotional/social growth. The Principal, teachers, and staff are dedicated to their students and families. You can feel the warmth and family like atmosphere when walking through the halls at Glen Yermo. It's a fantastic school that was recently awarded the a Golden Ribbon award. My kids have excelled and are have a solid foundation in learning due to this school.

This school has been amazing for my daughter. I transferred her here at the end of her 4th grade year and it was a great decision. The teachers and staff have been wonderful and supportive. She loves coming to school and learning. The upper grade teaching staff works together to create a warm and welcoming learning environment.

Glen Yermo is just the right school for this multi-cultural loving, multi-ability loving family. I can’t imagine life without our wonderful home away from home and the love that fills the walls. Glen Yermo staff, friends, and family have made all the difference in our elementary school years. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

I have two boys that started at Glen Yermo for the 2015-2016 school year in the 5th and 6th grade. They were at another Elementary school in the same district that was very good last year, and I hesitated to transfer them. However, Mrs. Graham took 45 minutes out of her day to answer my concerns on the phone. She convinced me that Glen Yermo would be a good fit, and I'm so glad that she did. My boys have excelled in their environment and both have made the honor roll! Ms. Gries and Mr. Graham are great teachers, and are a big part of the school's success. Also, the school was just recognized as a California Gold Ribbon School for 2016! The school should, and probably will be ranked higher than this website credits them for.

I have 3 boys, 2 of which attended Glen Yermo. My boys compined have been to 5 schools in the district and Glen Yermo is by far the best. From the administrative staff, to the teachers and families we met there, we have made life long relationships. We still receive Christmas cards from 2 of my son who is in college lower grade teachers. And have made lasting relationships with both the staff and other families that were part of our boys education at Glen Yermo. Not sure how they are rated a 5. My youngest is currently at a school rated a 9, and the education they received at Glen Yermo was the best! And the staff and other families are approachable and selfless.

I had 2 of my boys at this school K-6. Most of the teachers were great. Mrs. Tamburelli in 2nd grade and Mr. Gifford in 6th grade were just the BEST! They both take a personal interest in the kids and are able to manage, teach and control their classrooms very effectively! This school has a great science program, as well as, a huge computer lab and wonderful art program.

My daughter is in third grade and currently enrolled at Glen Yermo. Principal Graham is very involved, and the teachers are as good as any other teachers at SVUSD. I have an older child at Serrano, so I am familiar with SVUSD schools etc. We just had a family math night where we played games and learned more about our children's curriculum. My daughter has gotten to be a supervisor for a day by spinning the wheel of roar. We have movie nights run by the PTA. The homework load is doable, but her teachers standards are pretty strict in the classroom etc. Yes this is an improvement school, and it does have a large Hispanic population. We are not Hispanic and no the whole school isn't, but does it even really matter? Since it is an improvement school there are more funds for kids that need help, and we get extra funding for things like computers, the science program etc. I haven't had any issues with my daughters learning being affected by other students. It has a homey feel to it. Very nice teachers, kids, and parents.

How on earth is Glen Yermo a 5?!?!?! This school is amazing. We have raised our scores and we have the most awesome, caring teachers. The principal Mrs. Graham is super involved and so caring and warm. I love being part of this sweet school. I feel like my kids get to thrive in the smaller environment. They have great friends, they love their teachers and the love Mrs. Graham!

My two children have been students at Glen Yermo since kindergarten. Despite some negative reviews we decided to give the school a chance. We were pleasantly surprised, the Teachers have always been very helpful and caring. My children have made some wonderful life long friends. The office personnel are very welcoming and friendly. The programs and PTA continue to grow and improve each year. The Principal is genuinely caring towards all students and her passion is infectious.

Our school is the little school that could. What COULD it do? It can INSPIRE your child because of dedicated teachers and staff!! It could EXCITE your child because of the programs they offer, thanks to our dedicated PTA. It could ENCOURAGE your child to reach for the stars because OUR school is always looking for opportunities to do so. My children have attended this school for 6 years they haves achieved so much. Our school is GREAT because we CARE!!! Thanks to Mrs. Graham for all she does for our children.

I love this school! My children have thrived here both academically and socially over the last 5 years. The new hands on science program they have added this year is incredible! My daughter loves it and is now considering a future in science. THANK YOU Glen Yermo PTA for funding this program!!!!! You guys rock and are making this school better every year!

I am so thankful for Mrs. Graham and the staff at Glen Yermo. My child is excelling in ALL areas. ROAR!
