Middletown Schools have really come a long way in the last 10 years. I see a drastic improvement from when my youngest went there, to now my oldest. Things are improving but it takes time. Keep up the good work!

I had a few awesome teachers, but most were cynical and didn't really care whether we were educated or not. I took AP classes, and advanced courses, and never passed an AP exam. Some teachers didn't expect enough, so students didn't care to try. I had a great experience in high school, because of my principal, choir and show choir director, and other school activities, but the academic bar needs to be raised. Most awesome teachers I had now have moved to other districts to teach. A lot of kids from Middletown come from bad home situations, but to me, that means nothing when it comes to how much a student can succeed and learn. Kids were unwilling, but you have to raise the bar as a teacher and administrator and expect nothing less. I loved being a Middie and loved going to MHS. But there are some teachers there that have tenure, but should be fired because they're doing the students and community a disservice. Being a teacher is one of the hardest jobs in the world and takes a special person to do it.Thank you to all the AWESOME Middletown teachers who care and try their best! To those who don't: please teach at another district or find a different job.

Middletown is the worst district I have ever seen... The lack of organization and anything resembling quality is readily evident. This school is focuses on producing athletes and worker bees but not Intelligent people. Middie "pride" is a joke. Maybe they're proud that freemasons run the city which is a surveillance police state. Pride goes before destruction... choose home or virtual schooling if you live in this place.
