Ola is a wonderful school. The faculty and staff really care about the students and go above and beyond. They challenge and encourage the students. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly. The academics are strong. The sports programs excel which leads to exciting school spirit and atmosphere. The fine arts are phenomenal. Every program and organization in the school excels. It’s just fantastic.

We moved our child to Ola High School from a private school and have been VERY pleased with the outcome. Our child is thriving at Ola from the education to teachers to friends to school activities. We highly recommend Ola High School!!

I am a Sophmore at Ola High and I must say that it is an amazing school. The teachers are very nice and they will try their very best as long as a student shows effort. Ola offers a lot of electives that are very convenient. The students are all different in their own way so no matter what you're personality is like, there's a group of friends to hang out with. Ola is very organized and is almost bully free(occasional drama but every high school has that).

I have 3 children in Ola High and they have met with racism. Those ridiculous hateful words are painful for my children. Ignorance is still present. My children are receiving a great education. I do feel that one of my daughters has been let down in the math department. She has a teacher more interested in coaching sports instead of educating children in what counts. Education very good, racism , discussing and insulting. Hold your heads high and move on because the teachers are also ignorant to the racism.

I like the school my children have an option to attend any school in the county they wished. they wanted to stay at Ola . the sports programs there is a need to improve the favoritism issues as parents we see, but we know in the real world that will change with time. the Principal is doing a good job.

I graduated from Ola High in 2010. We were the first graduating class to go all the way through, since the doors opened when we were freshmen. I am now a college senior, and I can say with absolute confidence that Ola prepared me for the rigor of college. I have friends who attended other schools in other counties who did well in high-school but had a very rough transition into college coursework and work-load. Ola is an outstanding school with top-notch teachers and administrators. Mr. Iddings works hard for the students and parents, and always has. In response to the comments about racism and intolerance, I would like to see you try and find a school where there is not one ignorant person. Just like in the real world, you have to take what one person may say with a grain of salt. Ola is a great school, with a ton of cultural clubs and programs that people of all cultures are involved in, which is one of the reasons that I loved attending there. Part of being in high school means that you have to apply yourself and take responsibility for your actions. If you do that here, you will have an enjoyable four years and learn everything you need to know to be prepared when you leave.

Ola High is a terrific high school. I have been extremely pleased with the level of instruction and the variety of activities available for students. The AP and Honors classes are challenging, and I feel my kids have been well prepared for college. My only complaints are the parents and students who feel that rules do not apply to them, but you will get these anywhere. The band program is one of the best in the state, and the orchestra program is outstanding.

I have been a part of the Ola High community since the doors opened. Two of my children have graduated and one is a junior. OHS is a great school with outstanding administrators and teachers who truly care about the students. This is a semi-rural, conservative area and OHS reflects that. Perhaps those with negative comments should get more involved. Anyone suggesting racism or intolerance at this school is uninformed. Outstanding music program and plenty of other chances for children to learn not just academics but also life lessons that prepare them for the real world. The administration and teachers are often having to do the job that parents either won't or can't, by teaching respect, responsibility for one's own actions, and tolerance for different opinions. Parents who are truly involved, attend student activities, communicate with teachers and try to support the school can appreciate what an amazing place Ola is. It is by far the best district in Henry County. I am proud to be an Ola parent.

Steer clear of the ROTC military course at ola High School. They are treating CHILDREN like ADULTS IN MILITARY and punishing student by stipping their rank down to nothing instead of teaching the right way things should of been handled. Especially since this CHILD has taught, won and donated so many things to the ROTC progream. Be careful this program can crush dreams.

I have not been made aware by my sons that they been called the "N" word but I would definitely say that the Ola school district is one of great racism and favoritism. I would definitely agree that the majority of the people in the Ola area definitely fit in the IGNORANT category. It is such a disappointment that in 2012 this type of behavior still exists when you are trying to raise your child(ren) to treat others equally without regard to their skin color.

I think Ola is very much an inclusive school and has many activities to get involved in. Great Fine Arts and Sports programs. The school is constantly alive and buzzing with activities for the students and community/parental involvement. Strong Principal leadership.
