We love the school and the district, by far the best in the area. Only negative I’ve seen is in the special education department where they are not proactive enough and they have one teacher who cares more about looking good on paper then actually doing her job. Otherwise, it’s an amazing place to send your child, just wish the needs of special education students would be better met.

We love MES! We’re military so this is my oldest son’s 4th school and it’s by far his favorite! He’s made great friends at the school in a short amount of time and his teachers do a great job of challenging him. All of my children at this school have amazing teachers who go above and beyond to make sure my kids get the attention they need and will schedule extra parent teacher conferences if I ask for one. The PBIS program is awesome and all the extra events like a magician and a lizard expert keep school fun and the kids engaged. We’ll be sad when we have to leave!

This is our first year attending any school and so far i have to say I'm not impressed. The office staff is rude and condescending. My child had a minor issue with a bully and was told to quit tattling. There is quite a bit of favoritism that happens between staff and parents. Security is not really well maintained in the mornings. I like the classroom setup and the socialization my child receives (the good socialization). Considering though this is our first year with the school and we've had multiple problems we will more than likely be pulling our child out.

Do not care for office staff. Do not care for the way my child was passed onto the next grade when he BARELY passed. Voiced my concern and it was totally dismissed. My child has struggled all of this year.. His self esteem and confidence is VERY low. He exhibits signs of stress and depression. Bullying is awful!! Especially if they don't wear the right clothes or shoes. Very displeased with this school & happy my child will be relocating.

Ranked as #1 or # 2 amongst all of the schools in the metro rural area for the last 15 years. Education and Application are amongst the best in the State. Children leave there prepared with a sense of purpose and prepared to become involved as reputable members of our young society. Parent involvement is encouraged from day 1 through grade completion. We love it. They focus heavily on Academics and then Athletics, creating the model for the student athlete theme.

Mascoutah Elementary School is fantastic! My daughter is in Kindergaten there and has learned so much over this last year. We are very pleased with the entire school!

We had heard many great things about this district. We were HIGHLY disappointed. We will be looking into private school.

My kids have been in this school from pre-k to 5th. We had some great teacher. However, sometimes you need to get on the teachers ao that they will do there jobs. My daughter needs someone to make sure that she stays on task. We had to ride the teachers to get their help. However, with a little push the teachers are very helpful. There is bullying at the school. The school does not believe there is a problem. I do not regret having my kids go to this school. There were worst choices.

My kid has probably one of the best teachers in this school. She communicates with the parents and gives kids just enough homework to keep them occupied and activities to keep their interests up.However, the office staff, all the way to the principal, are probably the worst I've ever seen. Rude, unaccommodating, ill-mannered! I just hope that these people get "educated" on manners themselves. Makes me wonder how the children get treated themselves - those poor kids!!!

My husband is active duty military. When we relocate to a new area one of the first things we do is look for schools for our children. From what we had seen we though Mascoutah schools would be good. however we found out very differently. We have 5 children. Of those 4 of them attended this elementary school. The largest problem that we had was with the special education department. They were not willing to make changes to work with our son. They did not have the knowledge nor the comfort level to teach him. We moved to another local school district that has worked with him and is accommodating and he is growing and making progress by leaps and bounds which he had never done under this school's special education program. At one point my son was very fussy and was trying to express that he was not comfortable with his aide and the special education director told me that he was just being manipulative. I would not recommend this school if you have a child with special needs.
