Don't be fooled by the test scores. We've relocated several times and our children have attended five different elementary schools. After a couple of years at Tritt, we can say Tritt is definitely the bottom of the barrel. The students are great but the school goes out of it's way to fight the parents at every turn. Parents are discouraged from visiting the school and participating in their child's education. The facilities are subpar with half the class rooms are in modular buildings with high humidity. The whole place has a depressing feel. The principal avoids interaction with the parents and the teachers are afraid of the principal -- no leadership whatsoever. Any other school in East Cobb is a better option than Tritt. Also be ready to spend serious money on tutoring your child to fill in gaps not covered at school. A new principal and some major renovations are needed to turn this school around. Everyone is afraid to speak up for fear of hurting their real estate values or that their child will get poor treatment but can't wait to get out of this school one way or another.

We moved our child to Tritt in 4th grade from private school and it was a terrible decision. The administration cares more about their bureaucratic system than the individual student. Due to our child coming from a private school, she took a different standardized test than Tritt. Therefore, The administrators would not even consider placing her in any AC classes or the target program. I asked, via email, in the spring of fourth grade about the possibility for AC classes in fifth grade. The administration never even responded. At the beginning of fifth grade, we asked again in a meeting with the administration. We were given a scripted speech about her taking the wrong standardized test with no consideration for her as a student or her grades in fourth grade. I felt that they could have easily told me that the previous spring so that I had time to move her back to private school. Due to this situation, our child’s self esteem and confidence in her academic abilities were devastated. She now has test anxiety and makes statements about not being smart in spite of making all A’s and one B this past year. If your child does not fit into Tritt’s bureaucratic box, you may want to carefully consider looking at other options. Our daughter, now in 8th grade, is in all AC and high school level classes, including high school art. She has also been admitted to the gifted education program. It has taken years of hard work and seeing a therapist to improve her academic confidence. Please be aware that the administration at Tritt will NOT look at the individual child’s situation. By only focusing on their bureaucratic system, Tritt caused years of anxiety and lack of academic self confidence in our daughter.

I have my 2 kids there and they are very happy studying at Tritt. Like everything, nothing is perfect. Some of the teachers are awesome, they really encourage kids to learn and grow. Others are OK, closer to the "old/traditional school" but in general it is OK. We love the focus on STEM and the positive messages about inclusion and kindness. So far a great experience.

I have had all three of my children go through Tritt and have been so impressed with the education each has received. Over the last 12 years this school has consistently tested at the top and they are always looking to improve, not only the education but the other areas such as character building and social aspects of school. The teachers remain energetic and the children are happy and engaged. They also have amazing parents who help and other community partners that help provide a well rounded experience for all of the students.

We have had our oldest at Tritt for the past three years. Our experience has been great. The teachers and admin are very approachable and involved in making it a great environment. We will have two more at Tritt soon, and we are happy we moved here for this school.

I have a current 7th grader who went through Tritt and a 4th grader at Tritt this year. We moved to this district several years ago after doing extensive research just to go to Tritt. It is a fabulous school with very high achievement

The administration is very unyielding, "saving face" takes precedence over admitting a mistake was made and making a change for the benefit of the children. Input from parents doesn't seem to be welcome, especially if it would include criticism. There are some great teacher and some that are less than stellar. Unfortunately, there is little opportunity to advocate for your child to be with the former -- the administration does not value your input and will not tolerate being questioned.

What a wonderful school! We are thrilled with the education provided, the teachers and leadership as well as our daughter's great test results. As a transplant from California we chose the East Cobb area to get the wonderful schools. Thanks Tritt!

I don't think a parent could ask for much more than Tritt provides. It's a wonderful school and my first grader LOVES it here.

We love this school for absolutely great leadership and dedicated team. All school staff is a team of professionals who know how to simply work with children with different needs and skills. It was easy to communicate or ask for help. Our son loves all teacher; they have become a part of his life.

I wrote a review when my oldest child was in Kindergarten, and thought it would be helpful to update my review now that my children are older (Third and Fourth respectively). Both of my children are receiving a wonderful education at Tritt. It is truly a top notch public school. I have had the good fortune to volunteer with both the Foundation and the PTA, and the parents and administration at this school are incredibly involved and welcoming. I have seen this school continue to overcome problem after problem...lower budget, larger class sizes, change of curriculum...Yet this school continues to push ahead to meet every challenge head on and still give my children a well -rounded, exceptional education. Next year my oldest child will be in Fifth grade, and I have no concerns that she will not be well prepared to move on to middle school and beyond. If you want your child to have a solid foundation, you have chosen the right school. Keep in mind this is is a public school and it is bound by the Cobb County education system which does limit what it can do for some children, but overall I highly recommend Tritt. It is truly a fantastic community school.

I love our school and feel very blessed to have our children going here. We moved to this area specifically for this school district when our oldest was ready to start Kindergarten and it was the best decision we could have made. Our school offers so much through the Tritt Tiger Foundation and PTA programs, it is as close to a private school that a public school can get. The Foundation funds a science lab, a certified science lab teacher, two computer labs and a computer lab teacher. They also fund a floating parapro that helps out where there is need. This year, they also funded ipads for the kids to enrich their education experience.. I could go on and on... truly this school is exceptional. Parental involvement is huge and strongly encouraged with many ways to help out even if you cannot physically be there due to work or schedule. I have always had a positive experience with getting help for my daughters when they needed it, in fact the admin and staff go out of their way to do what they can when asked for help. The atmosphere when you walk through the school is a very positive one. My kids love going to school and that is the best thing a parent could ever ask for.

My daughter attends Tritt Elementary and loves it. It is a great school with a dedicated staff, teachers, and parents. My daughter just turned 5 years old at the end of August and is having a difficult time with all that is expected in Kindergarten but still loves going to school. Her teacher is doing everything she can to help her be successful. We have had great communication so far and I know the teacher has the best interest of my daughter at heart. As for those parents who are complaining that the school asks for money please note there isn't a school in Cobb County that doesn't seek money from parents. With these difficult economic times it is a requirement to seek funds for the "extras." The money that is raised by the Tritt Foundation goes to fully support the science and computer labs which are not standard classes at elementary schools in Georgia. Think about what you are getting by having your child attend an East Cobb public school and look at the prices of private schools in the area; I think you will re-evaluate your comments.

I love this school! The teachers are excellent! The administration is accessible! The FAST program (after school enrichment) is really impressive! Many programs to meet your child's learning style (family program, target). Lots of parent involvement. My kids love it and so do I!

I have a kindergartner, I'm very surprised that nobody here mention that academics are the 2nd priority ,The school love your pocket $$ first, They make so many requests and events,to raise money.but you pay for all the after hrs classes. The people or families that are active on the schools have better attention,The rules do not apply for families close to the board or those that gives lots of money,They will love you. Some teachers are great educators others don't worth mention...almost of all stuff events in class are paid by the parents.
