Robinson is an outstanding school. Teachers are fantastic and there is thoughtful stewardship by the new school principal. Parents and the community are very involved and the place has the feeling of a fine private instituion of learning.

We moved into the area because of this top rated school and it exceeded our expectations. Excellent staff and sense of community.

This school feels like private school. Well rounded curriculum including performing arts. Great interaction between school staff and parents.

Teachers overall are terrific so when you get an average one (and there are a few) they pale in comparison to most of the staff. The parents are very involved and supportive. The atmosphere is like a private school and is especially good for your kids when they are young. Principal is not well liked by many which can impact the school at times.

I was not impressed with this school. The school day is extremely short. You can feel the stress the teachers and students are under to get all the work done in such a short amount of time. The result of such a short school day is a large amount of school work being sent home. The teachers are also expected to participate in a large amount of teaching enhancement sessions. This results in teachers spending less time in the classroom. Enhancement is great, but it shouldn't replace actual teaching hours. You could tell this school puts way too much emphasis on "meeting the standard" and not the overall learning process. Since this standard is never really explained to the students or parents, I can only assume the standard they refer to is the standardize test.

Robinson was awarded The National Blue Ribbon Award which is only given to about 300 out of 100,000 public schools in the country. Incredibly hard working yet happy teachers, strong parental involvement and very creative children make this school a hidden gem!

We moved houses in order for our son to attend this school. As stated in the previous review, this feels like a private school. All of the kindergarten students are very bright and they get a lot of exposure to music, art, and the performing arts, in addition to the basic math, science, writing, reading, and computer lab. At he end of the year, each kindergarten student had to research a sea animal and the give a 2 minute presentation followed by Q and A. I am so impressed by what the amazing teachers accomplish in a half-day kindergarten!
