Pennekamp Elementary School is a shining example of educational excellence, family involvement, and outstanding teaching. It is truly the best in Manhattan Beach, and I am grateful for the positive impact it has had on my child's educational journey. I wholeheartedly give Pennekamp Elementary School a well-deserved 5-star rating.

Pennekamp is one of the best elementary school in MBUSD! Many great learning opportunities for kids with emphasis on Social Emotional Learning. Love that the school ensures that families are involved. Can't go wrong with any of the teachers in any grade. Loving the new upgrades to school! My kids love going to Science Lab, Young at Art, and creating fun things in Maker Space. My kids are building life long friendships along the way too!

The best elementary school in MBUSD by far! Many great extras including science lab, music starting at 4th grade with possibility of honors band, makerspace and more. Families are very involved. Teachers are 99% great. They have really nice facilities with a brand new state of the art two-story building for 4th and 5th grade as well as speciality classes like maker space and science lab. There’s been a greater focus on SEL lately. We have 3 kids at the school and they are each very different and each thriving here at Pennekamp

There are so many behavioral problems at this school and it’s swept under the rug. It’s cool to be mean and bullying is rampant and parents don’t care that their kids are really mean.

The food is better in most prisons, all but a few teachers are actually good, and almost every student at Pennekamp doesn't want to be there.

Amazing school! Wonderful and compassionate teachers who go above and beyond what is expected of them. Best principal anyone could ask for! This school feels like a private school, run by a fabulous administration. Couldn't be happier!

The teachers truly stand and deliver at Pennekamp, however, they don't get the support they need and many mishaps occur when they are expected to perform tasks that the principal should be doing. This school will be off the charts under stronger leadership.
