My children briefly attended this school. When I went to enroll them and a school employee heard my daughter was autistic told me "you didn't hear this from me but I would fight to get her a transfer." She went on to tell me this school was awful for special needs students, especially the class my daughter would be in. She was so right. My daughter is high functioning autistic and was put in a classroom where she was pretty much ignored other than being given worksheets. Some days the worksheets were well above her level, some days well below. I attempted to talk to the teacher about this and was told "Oh, I just grabbed one." I was shocked that the person educating my daughter had no clue of her capabilities and didn't make any effort to find materials that were appropriate for her. Every time myself or family went to the classroom my daughter was sitting alone in a corner with a book. They refused to offer services comparable to the IEP services she had been receiving at her previous school. My son faced constant bullying and often told me he felt none of the teachers cared about the bullying or the students in general (except a teacher named Mrs. Yokum who he said was nice and tried to help). We rearranged our finances to afford private school to get our children out of this place.

I am very disatisfied with Madill School, my child who loves school and is an honor student now begs daily not to go to school because of bullying issues. The administration does not find it worth taking care of and will be glad to let me transfer my kid out rather than take care of the issue. I think kids deserve to feel safe and not be ignored.
