If you are looking to move to a neighborhood in this school district, please read this first. I have had my kids in 3 different school districts over the years, and this one is by far the worst. First, and most importantly, this is not a safe place for kids. There is a lot of bullying that happens here and since the administration won't do anything about it, so there are fights on a regular basis. The district is entirely too large for what this very small school can handle so it's overcrowded and a mess for the students to navigate between classes in multiple buildings. Some of the classrooms are in temporary buildings that lack proper hvac. I have been in one at a parent/teacher conference that was well over 80 degrees when it was hot outside due to a very small window unit being the only cooling source. The communication from the school for anything is extremely lacking. The school my kids went to previously sent things home with the students, informed of events by text message, and put all information on their website. My kids have been going here for over 3 months and one of my son's teachers didn't even recognize him nor even know his name. Even after being told my son's name he didn't even realize that was one of his students. If you kids play sports, good luck. Unless they have gone here forever or are the best athlete their age, they won't get to play. We got informed of a mandatory practice, that was not on a school day, two days in advance when we already had plans. Because my son missed this practice he is the only kid on the team that didn't get to play in their games. The surrounding school districts are full enough to not allow transfers, so you and your kids will be stuck dealing with this absolute nightmare of a school.

Very unprofessional they all bulling and won't do anything about it. Unless you been in the school from the very beginning they don't care about the new students

The only reason I give it such a low rating is because there are not any fone arts options for the kids. We moved from out of state and I had to transfer my child to Durant because she didn't want to play softball or be a cheerleader. These were the two options we were given by the office and my kid prefers art and music. Other than that I think the small town atmosphere would have been a good one and I'm sure those that are more sports oriented love going there.

I have two children at this school and they love to go. It's nice to go to a school activity and every teacher says hello and asks how your doing. Teachers at silo genuinely care that their students succede.
