We moved our children from a much larger school district 3 years ago. My husband and I have been very pleased with the principal and teachers that they have had. The open communication is very beneficial to insuring that our children are receiving the educational support that is needed to help them succeed. Silo Elementary has a very successful Academic Team, they just won a State Championship this year! If there were any improvements that I have noticed that need to take place it would be the outdated playground. I am aware that they are trying to raise money through fundraisers and donations, but I know safe, and sturdy playgrounds can be very expensive.

Silo Elementary provides great educational opportunities for my children. I know that my children are well cared for during the day and have no problem with them attending this school. The teachers care for each and every student. The elementary principal is great and strives to make every student, teacher and parent feel welcomed and loved. My oldest child excels in her academics and I owe a lot of that to the teachers at Silo. My kids would not do to any other school. Silo is a great school to send your children.

Silo Elementary is a great school! We have very loving and helpful teachers. Their main goal is to make sure that each child in their class gains the knowledge needed to move on to the next level of education. I am the School Based Social Worker at the school and my job is to make sure that each student has the things they need to be able to receive a quality education, everything from clothes, supplies to food. We strive to make this school the best we can. Our growing school is in great need of a playground. I have been working on grants and outside funding to help make this happen, but so far no luck. Our playground consists of 6 swings, 2 basketball goals, 2 tetherball's, and a balance beam. This is all that 482 Elementary students have to play on at recess. It was put in about 30 years ago when the student population was probably 100. So this money would be a great help to helping our school get the playground they so need.
