If you are lucky enough to call Lyons home and have children that attend Lyons Elementary, then you know. You know the support and the caring environment goes beyond the classroom. Many of our teachers and staff live in Lyons and provide a safety net and familiarity for our kids like no other community I’ve lived in. The staff is warm and inviting and the parents are equally inclusive and friendly, so friendly!! Our school piloted an Outdoor Science and Leadership program that provides real data and research on the biodiversity of the St. Vrain River to local agencies and scientists. The Lyons Elementary School PTO has over $80K budgeted each year to help supplement and enrich programming at the school. Volunteerism runs deep and strong and there are always opportunities to become more involved should you want to. The arts and music programs have had new life breathed into them and are thriving. LES is a beautiful community school!

Principal and grade-level teachers: GREAT! Art, music and after-school programs/child care organizer: TERRIBLE to the point of bullying/abuse. We have pulled our children out. A travesty in this beautiful community of artists and musicians!

This is a wonderful school with a great sense of community. All of teachers at each grade level are excellent. The new principal this year has been awesome, and the parent involvement here is very welcoming.
