As a staff member and a parent, I can say that I love this school. Our new principal started 3 years ago and the atmosphere completely changed. My 4th grader recently switched to this school as well and he has thrived. I couldn't recommend this school any more than I already do.

Northridge has its challenges. We are a neighborhood school where many neighborhood kids go elsewhere. School choice has created a dynamic in our school where we have a high percentage of low income and second language learners. We are a title 1 school. However, the things that are implemented by the principal and staff make an amazing learning experience for our students. Our staff works tirelessly to meet the needs of all students. Most of our students and parents love Northridge. The principal is 100% invested in the children and has implemented amazing strategies into this school that not only help the students and staff, but are being transferred into other schools as well. She has very high expectations and sometimes people don't like this, but it is the only way to get good results. Being a teacher in this building I have been very impressed with the vision of the school and have met first hand graduates of this school who are very successful.

The principal Mrs Sampson is a bully to her staff and ha the teacher and support staff turnover to prove it. SVVSD should not allow principals like her to continue their tyranny and maybe test score would go up with a more positive school climate where staff was not walking on egg shells....horrible!

This school is a horrible school. My daughter went there for 2 years and just this year I pulled her out due to boys bullying her and physically abusing her then the teacher and principal did nothing about it! Also when head lice is present they do nothing to take care of the situation and immediately turn the blam to you! This school is disorganized, rude, disrespectful and lacking education completely. My daughter went from all 4's last year on he report card to mostly 2's this year! Unbelievable! :-(

We did not like this school at all and took our kids out after one semester. It was very disorganized, my daughter who was in kindergarten and has never had behavior issues at school, experienced constant bullying and had nightmares about the school. She became increasingly disinterested in school. Also, the way they have the car line set up I believe is unsafe. There is no organization to it and once my son wandered off and no one noticed. They also had no idea where my daughter was one day. We were so happt to get out of there and my children have thrived at their new school.
