We tried several schools before finding Egremont, and are so grateful we did! We started in the EK (early kindergarten) program, and we were immediately impressed by the advanced academic and motor skills the children were developing. Egremont school provides an incredible academically rigorous program balanced with worldly culture and creativity, including music, art, computers, and Spanish, and after-school enrichment programs like coding, cooking, and sports. I also can’t emphasize enough how welcomed we have felt at Egremont. The teachers, staff and security team give us such a warm welcome each morning that it even brightens my day before work. Needless to say, we returned for the 2024-2025 school year with our older child in TK and also enrolled our youngest daughter in the preschool program. I can’t imagine a better place for young minds to thrive. Egremont school is a rare and wonderful gem in the valley that truly cares about creating an environment for learning and growth and prepares their students for successful and confident futures.

I had a terrible experience at this school. At first I absolutely loved it but soon I began experiencing strange occurrences. The CEO acts super nice but beware of her. The teachers either leave after one year or stay and you find out how bad they really are at their jobs. I warn any potential parents to look elsewhere for their child’s education.

My 3 year old had separation anxiety. As soon as she started going to Egremont, her fear started to fade away. My 8 year old was attending PRCS and I could see her demeaner changed. She was withdran. Eventullay she opened up to us that teacher at PRCS was yelling at them when they get an answer wrong. She was dreading going to school until I pulled her out in the middle of the year and register her at Egremont. She is the happy girl again! Thanks to Egremont! Highly recommend this school.

Egremont Elementary school provided my son an incredible learning experience. Although he graduated almost two years ago, he still recalls all the fond, lasting memories he created being apart of the Egremont family. Yes, the school has had its ups and downs with a few of the staff members leaving, but as we all can guess, there was a reason for the CEO/president to do what she did. Egremont offers kids the ability to learn in a loving, and safe environment. Ms. Struve works hard and is dedicated to providing students with the correct learning criteria they need to succeed. The school continues to do as much as they can for their students, and it is sad to see such reviews being left. The events Egremont holds such as camping under the stars is something my child (as well as myself) will never forget! Such great memories were made being apart of the Eagle Family. My son wishes he could go back and do it all over again.

Thirty years ago my parents blessed me with the most incredible gift, they enrolled me in preschool at Egremont. My incredible education at Egremont prepared me for Chaminade middle school, Chaminade high school, Master's College, C.S.U.N., and Dental Hygiene school. I have earned multiple degrees and licenses while graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. At each school I excelled and I believe it is all from the foundation that Egremont established. The amazing teachers gave me such a love for learning which allowed me to follow my dreams and find a career I love. This year my son started preschool at Egremont. His education here will prepare him for his future and will allow his dreams to come true. Since my time at Egremont Ms.Struve has made this school into the most beautiful place. She has hand picked the teachers and staff who are all kind and incredible at their jobs. She has created a wonderful family environment where the development, safety, and happiness of each child is a priority. She gives every child and their families individualized attention. The education is spectacular. They focus on the whole child by teaching academics, personal development, social development, and work habits. The extracurriculars will keep parents on their toes as their child learns different languages, different art techniques, and about artists they may need to google when they ask their child what they learned that day. The events Ms. Struve and the staff have orchestrated are phenomenal, from the holiday concerts and open houses to the classroom celebrations. The decorations and set ups are always delightful and so amazingly thought out. It is a joy to be involved in each event. Ms. Struve took Egremont, a great school, and made it into a school any family would be beyond blessed to be a part of. I recently had another son and I am so excited for the day he will get to enjoy his time as a part of the Egremont family.

I have two children that attended this school. I was so impressed with the facilities and the promises of enrichment studies. One day the beloved art and preschool teacher just disappeared, no one ever explained why the teachers were there one day and gone the next. Slowly the enrichment classes like Spanish and sign language just vanished. We were warned by other parents that the CEO/principal runs the school like a despot and to be careful. We were surprised to see that the grades above 2nd had diminishing student numbers, it went from 20 kids to just 5 in 4th grade. This past year there were no enrichment classes and no school nurse. They complained that my son was being difficult only to discover he had a fever over 103 in the classroom. We paid full tuition and expected to receive the kind and caring environment but to our dismay the school came up short. The teachers are barely squeaking by with only three support staff which includes security. I wish I had listened to all the warnings before enrolling my kids this past year. We have a lot of catching up to do academically. Be warned this school is not what it seems! I have two children that attended this school. To my knowledge, there are more than a dozen parents who are leaving Egremont this year, and I'm talking about lower grades only. The are only 4 students in 2nd grade, and 3 are leaving! The school teaches nothing, it leaves no homework, no teaching on how to read, no spanish class (there was one last year), and play all day along! There were a few times where they had positive COVID cases in class, and everybody sent home to do zoom online. OMG, that's the moment I realized that this school literally teaches nothing! Online class start at 9am, and recess at 9:30am, during this time basically singing and dance. The recess is almost an hour, sometimes 1.5 hrs, so they come back at 10:30am and do 30 mins music class (another singing and dancing), and voila, done for the day! Dismiss at 11am! I was beyond speechless! I'd imagine public schools around our neighbourhood would be much better than that!This is not the worst though. The worst thing is that you have a control freak as head of school. Like other reviews mentioned. she literally pushed all good teachers out, just because they have different opinions. She only kept those who'd listen to her, and poor those teachers, I've seen changes on them too, who used to be caring and loving and now become non-responsive and treat parents like liabilities. I don't blame them, they probably just want to survive in this school, the only way is to obey! All the teachers (I mean every single one), that my kid had about 1-2 years ago, they all left! She just want to keep puppets!Another thing is that they don't pay close attention to kids when at playground. The bully situation the other review mentioned happened in my kid's class as well. The school didn't even inform the parent about the incident at all, they knew it from their kids and the other kid's parents. Even after confronting with the school, they said they didn't think it was a big deal, and head of school instructed the teacher not to tell parents! How ridiculous is that!!!DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDERN TO THIS SCHOOL!

My child attended this school in 2019, just prior to the pandemic, for early kindergarten. At first, I loved this school. The staff was lovely and the curriculum was much more robust than public school. I was told that my child would take Spanish starting in EK and would be able to write an auto biography in Spanish by 1st grade. The arts program was lovely, the music program, even a class for coding! How could this possibly go wrong? the Pandemic hit and the entire school year was a loss. Spanish classes ceased. Music class was just a pre-recorded video; and it was the same video for the final 2 months of school. Not sure what I was paying $15,000 for. After we limped through that school year, I pulled him out for Kindergarten; no sense in paying private school prices for virtual learning. I did decide to send him back for first grade, hoping that the promises made to me when I toured (learning spanish, coding classes) were still viable. Turns out- NOPE. The spanish program was gone; it was now ASL. The front desk staff was different; the head of the art department left as well as a slew of other "staffing" changes. The worst part is that the price of school increased nearly $5,000. I expected an increase from EK to 1st grade, but after I looked at the breakdown of the charges, they were more than I was quoted at the onset of registration for 1st grade. There were "security" charges in there. There is on-campus security, but it increased nearly $1,000 from 2019. But, the straw the broke the camels back is that my child has been accused of being a bully, being "too silly" for class and getting kicked off a zoom call (why not just turn off his camera??). In EK he was PUNCHED IN THE FACE by another child and i only found out about it from the other child's parents. Egremont swept it under the rug. But when a new kid who doesn't speak any english starts at the school says that my child hit him and he is scared to come back to school THAT is when the school decided to act. They checked the security camera footage and admitted they had NO PROOF that my child did anything. Nobody considered that maybe the new kid was fearful of being in a new school, in a new country and possibly just wanted to stay home so singled out my kid as the scapegoat. Since that day, which was the 2nd week of school, i have had a bad report on my child WEEKLY and for things like taking a ping pong ball away from some kids at recess. They made a 6 yr old a pariah

I am very happy with my experience at Egremont School thus far. My 1st child loved his school year, and to my surprise, adapted very well to not having me around. He quickly made friends with his peers and staff members too. I am very excited to have enrolled my second child, I'm confident they will both have a blast. I feel a sense of responsibility to address some of the negative reviews I've read on here, it is not what some parents make it to be. There has been a lot of claims in regards to "changes made" on behalf of the administration team. I have only been here going onto two years, the only changes I've seen are changes that were very much necessary for the future of Egremont. We have a beautiful campus. Teachers and administration staff are very kind and professional. I must highlight our mornings everyday as we walk in through the front door. Ms. Youlia, who tends to the front desk, greets my children with such enthusiasm that establishes such a great and motivating atmosphere that even impacts me when my mornings don't feel right. She transmits her passion for her profession, my kids talk about her all the time. Mr. Bradley, our school security, he addresses us with respect and professionalism while he patrols the school, which in turn gives us the peace of mind that we as parents need as we leave the school to carry out our daily lives. Mr. Rick, school maintenance, always a good time greeting him... my kids tell me he's always fixing and building everything! The many faces we don't always see that deserve credit, are the administration staff that are always working hard keeping the ball in the court. Ms. Struve, the school principal, she's always so busy, but never for a question or concern that I've had in the past. She runs a great educational program and experience at Egremont. This is a great school. My kids love it, I love it.

We have been with Egremont for several years and the President is absolutely amazing. Everything she does is for the betterment of the school and the education of our kids. She devotes her energy to all aspects of the school and she does not deserve the negativity this select group of parents are dishing out. Last year was a lot of drama created by some teachers and administration who are no longer here. We trust decisions were made for the benefit of our kids. The school has maintained a professional stance but its interesting to hear what some of those who are no longer here are doing and saying. I have full faith in the leadership of Egremont and am a proud Eagle. This is an excellent school!

My experience thus far has been amazing!!! I cannot say the same since the last 3 months of the last school year and until now. The CEO has made mention of an open door policy to her office, welcoming any questions or concerns. It is to my knowledge, that If you were to come to her with questions or challenges, you may not receive the same respect and treatment. I've seen some questionable decisions she has made towards several parents, that have questioned her or came to her with a concern. I know every side has a story, however , those families are no longer.

My child attends Egremont Schools and is going on her third year at the school. It has been extraordinary from the start and we have always felt welcomed here. People are so quick to hate on this school but don’t realize the sacrifices the teachers and administrators make on the daily. I have no idea how someone can have so much hate because it simple doesn’t match to what I have experienced from my time here... it has one of the greatest learning environments throughout the valley and I should know... I’ve been to many schools. I along with others, don’t know the inside business of the school nor should we, but let’s be completely honest... Im sure all these changes were beneficial into making this school even more great. My daughter loves this school and has made some lifelong friends and memories. I would highly recommend sending your kids to this school. Everyone has different experiences and I understand that, but if you are interested in attending... I suggest you take a tour and see for yourself the supportive family environment Egremont School has to offer.

My child has been attending Egremont and we have loved it but due to recent changes, I highly advise that you do NOT send your children here. The current principal/dictator has recently been responsible for a massacre of firings including a beloved assistant principal and teachers that were loved and adored by parents and children. The principal chooses to “get rid” of anyone that challenges her including innocent students that have developed friendships with their peers. This is no way to run a private school and quite frankly I find this type of behavior unacceptable especially from the leader of the school. This used to be a great environment but again I highly advise you do not send your children here. There are many other private schools in the area that offer exceptional education opportunities.

I have been involved with many schools over the years. Egremont operates like an extended family. Administration, teachers, support personnel, parents, and students are all valued. It has been an excellent experience.

All of my children have gone to Egremont after attending a couple schools and the have never been happier, which makes me happy that we found a place they are treated fairly and there is no bullying. Our daughter has one year left and we’re happy to have been part of the Egremont family.

I have been teaching at Egremont for three years. I enjoy the students, families, my workmates, and the administration. We all blend together to create a happy family away from home. I look forward to coming to school each day. "A child is only for a moment"... I am glad to be part of children's learning experiences.

Horrific! After completing an amazing 4th grade year at this school we were so excited about 5th grade. This year is when one person of authority turned on my child. This made his life a living nightmare. The goal was to tear his confidence down. This place totally disrupted our lives as a family and put our student in a very vulnerable state. When the administration reads this I'm sure one person will feel great about this because they have achieved their goal!
