The school has changed its teachers, leadership, and administration. While at Live Oak, my child reported seeing cockroaches in the classroom, sticky traps with live and dead mice, and mice droppings. Many teachers left the year after the new principal arrived, which was strange. I was excited for my child to have a familiar face in the next grade, but many teachers left. It was difficult to have conversations with teachers. Many seemed nervous to speak up about the school they had worked at for many years. The principal puts on many events for the school and attends the events but is often only seen intervening with students. A few parents have reported the principal was not seen at their awards ceremonies or other school events. It is difficult to say I saw students have a positive and influential relationship with the administration.

Our grandson came from Tennessee to live with us. (which was a big adjustment.) We are proud to say he is doing great and loves Live Oak. The big part of him feeling good about going to a new school is because of the principals, teachers and staff.
