Counsellors are awful and do not care about children being bullied.

My 2 kids went through Randall. One is high achieving and one has a learning disability. Both had great experiences at the school.

It will be much better with a more understanding, fair, and caring principal.

I have two children that have attended Randall. I truly feel they are getting the education they need to be successful in high school. Both of my children have been very happy Randall and as a parent that is very comforting.

Randall is an excellent school. The staff, community and students make this school a great place. The school offers top quality elective classes to cover many interests. I also appreciate that any student can be part of their STEM program. Teachers put in extra hours to tutor students. Finally, Randall's test scores speak for themselves.

Randall is an average school. It claims to be the best middle school in the area, but would need much more professional teachers and staff to actually earn that title. Some teachers' attitude towards students show a clear lack of vocation and set a bad example for them. We definitely miss a truly devoted teaching practice here.

We love Randall! It is definitely a place where teachers set high expectations for students. We moved to this community for the school and have not been disappointed. We wanted a place where our son could be in a challenging but nurturing environment. Teachers and administrators here look out for the kids. I had a problem early in the year. They acted on it quickly. Thank you Randall!

Single Parents Beware..!! NOT exactly a single parent friendly school. It's run like a business...money money money. About Zero help for single , financially challenged parents. No after school transportation , so if you're a single working parent your child can not participate in any after school activities. They are also very rude to you if you don't have money. Call the school and they do not and will not give you their name. Most institutions answer the phone , name of place , name of department you reached , and their name. Again , single parents , working parents , struggling parent(s) - Beware.!

School administration is horrible. I still have not gotten a call or email back from the Assistant Principal for a problem that has continued . I have one child at school for the 2nd year. Most teachers are good and then you will get that one teacher that is also horrible. Most of the children in the school are spoiled which causes a lot of the bullying problems in the school. I know no school is perfect but I really expected more out of the school especially with it being one of the best schools in the county.

Principal and staff are too busy. Good quality school and teachers, but serious problems are often unanswered. Not parent friendly

My daughter has attended Randall for 6th and 7th grade. Overall, we have been very happy with this school both academically and from a parent/teacher communication standpoint. This school offers advanced classes and participates in the Duke TIP program. They have a lot of electives to choose from. Edline is used so that the students and parents can keep track of assignments and grades. I will say though that I had to stop looking at Edline because it made my blood pressure go up whenever I saw a missing assignment or a poor grade. Teachers are very prompt at responding to e-mails or other communications. Safety is important at Randall. During school hours the gates are kept locked and the only way to enter the school is through the office. The bus was fine and we never had any issues with problems on the bus. There is also a lot of parent involvement at this school. We are sorry to be leaving this school district.

This school is pathetic. Not a very single-parent friendly place. Most of the staff is extremely lazy & inattentive. No one there takes ownership for any responsibilities. The so-called athletics department is the worst. The coaches are disorganized and believe in the criticism approach rather than the compliment for trying approach. The PE coaches do not preplan for after school activities and do not communicate to parents or the students. Their website still has information from last year. The 6 graders are treated like dirt as if they're an inconvenience to the school for being there. The 6 graders are discriminated and bullied by the staff and faculty members. The cafeteria staff members are rude and actually harass students. The school is run like a business. If it means money they ll send fliers and emails and voicemails but otherwise the parents and students are left in the dark. The school does not provide any safety for the students involved in any after school activities. The teachers complain all the time about how many students they have and that the subject they are teaching is not their primary subject. Stay away. Stay away. Stay Away if you can.

Randall is a great school! My son is in advanced classes, and the teachers really push the kids academically. They do not coddle the kids but make them responsible for themselves. We did have an issue with bullying last year, but the administrators took care of it swiftly and fairly. I couldn't be happier with this school!
