Transfer your kids to river bluff. My last day and I have been screamed at multiple times for things I can’t control and don’t understand. What a way to say goodbye.

Would not want my children to go to the school I am about to graduate from as longs as this poor school atmosphere is maintained.

Majority of the teachers are not concerned if students are understanding the material learned, students are told to go to ILT labs, which is most of the time not even with their teacher and causes more confusion from the different teaching style, classroom vs. ILT lab. Just feels like they are pushing students through the semester without ensuring they learn what they should.

Excellent school whose rating is being dragged down by a politically unfair rating system that overweights poor minority/low income test scores. Look at the school average overall... excellent!

Awesome school that really encourages creativity and an appreciation for the arts. We love LHS!

The worst school ever! The administration is horrible. The teacher do not care! The students are self absorbent! They are cruel and mean to their students. The teachers could careless about helping a student at this school and administration is horrid!

The administrators are not in the best interest for students. Recently a Band student complained about the Band/JROTC lot. This turned into a big deal as of making it so that the lot that was initially intended for the Band/JROTC students is now only for those who are apart of a spring school sport. This is not OK. These should have the freedom to park back there as it was intended. If someone complained about one person or a group specifically, they should be punished or dealt with. Instead, everyone is punished. The principal has no respect for the students anymore. After all these kids have done for events to represent the school.

We moved to Lexington SC last year. Our Daughter started attending LHS as a freshman. The school offered an amazing amount of honors and AP classes! To say we were happy was an understatement... Great atmosphere and wonderful faculty!!! That was LAST YEAR 2012-2013 Now, one year later we are extremely frustrated with the lack of classes available. It appears that most of the Honors classes my daughter wishes to take aren't offered at LHS only at RIVER BLUFF. I HAVE A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS!! The website High school website is now outdated and the food program has gone down hill to the point my child has elected to start taking her lunch for the first time in years! (Stale and leftovers art what i expect) Yet new school has multiple food options available. I see this schools overall rating dropping considerably if the district continues to SHORT CHANGE THE FUNDS $ AND HONORS/AP CLASSES FOR LEXINGTON HIGH SCHOOL. Truly so very sad......

We just moved to the area from the Austin, Tx area. First problem that we encountered was that my daughter's credits from her former HS would not transfer and would be lost. This is because LHS semesters are structured differently than my daughter's HS in the Austin area. They were extremely unwilling to help in this situation. So much so that we were sent to another HS in the Lexington area that would accept her credits. We did just that and my daughter is now more than happy at River Bluff HS. In the four days that my daughter attended LHS did one student even look at her much less talk to her. She has been welcomed with open arms at River Bluff HS. Thank goodness that our temporary apartment made my daughter attending River Bluff HS possible. We have now bought a house in the River Bluff zoned area and are much happier because of it!

This school is by far the best high school that my children have attended. I moved to SC from Southern California 7 years ago and my children have been given a great opportunity to learn with the great teachers at Lexington High. The parents involvement in their childrens lives is just wonderful to see here in this great state. Children graduating from Lexington High School will definately be going places in life and contributing to making this world a better place. Thank you Lexington High School and it's teachers. You are the BEST.
