Awful school. The administration is incompetent and can not handle basic things. Students are targeted for harassment by staff. Bullying is rampant. Differences between students such as gender, sexuality, race/ethnicity, etc. are weaponized through bullying and are not embraced. Diversity is awful; the school is mostly white students, and non-white students are targeted for harassment and bullying by fellow students. The school pretends to be diverse and accepting for reputation/image purposes, but LGBT students are regularly targets of harassment. Administration pretends to care about the wants and needs of students, but when something is requested by a student, those requests are denied or ignored. There are threats to harm other students (school shooting threats for the most part) every other month. The school nurse ignores students when they complain of serious issues and is very rude to every student she talks to. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the school was near-weekly sending emails to students about newly reported cases, yet the school did not shut down (despite the obvious risk) until mid-December. Some of the teachers barely teach their students, and the students fail classes as a result. Teachers are unequipped to help underprivileged students feel safer in their school environment. Teachers are uneducated about mental illnesses and warning signs in the classroom, and instead of giving students compassion and reaching out, teachers will harass them. The only good thing about this school is some of the teaching staff. There are some wonderful teachers in this building, but that is not enough to make up for all of the other issues with this school.

Leicester High is a great, mid-sized suburban high school. Strong sense of community, and the teachers, administration and board care for the well being of the students and their families. A variety of school sports and after school activities. Leicester High puts students in a position to succeed in any path they may choose after graduation.
