Many positive changes with the new principal. Te school was the #1 school in the district for growth based on Spring 2017 scores, so I question the "3" ranking. Choir and dance program are fantastic. Student council elections held every year and meeting with student leaders are held monthly (sometimes more often). PTO program is growing as well as the parent volunteer program.

I'm really disappointed in this school. I feel this school doesn't really care too much or wants to deal with the students who are struggling. My child has his fair share of getting into trouble. But no one wants to try and resolve or fix the main issue. They right away just want to send him home for every little thing. Back in my day they dealt with the misbehaviour and called to notify the parents or their behavior. But it's like now they aren't getting paid enough to deal with it I guess. I'm doing my best to correct my child but I feel like I'm getting no help on their end. I'm about ready to switch schools because enough is enough. I'm not going to wait till my child just gives up and stops caring about learning because his school doesn't care.

I personally love this school. the teachers are wonderful and really care about their students. the principal is very nice and caring and supports the school to the fullest. i wouldn't choose any other school for my kids.

The school continues to fail. Look at the test scores. How can any one be satisfied with the numbers, the lunch menu, or the mainstream teaching style? Milk with every meal?? How s.a.d. How long will this go on? Too much irrelevant information being crammed down students throats. they are distracted by t.v., FB and their parents lack of energy for either looking for work or over working to stay employed. Admin and teachers put on their best face for open house. Principle shakes hands every morning but same results. same results. Look at the numbers.

I myself am really impressed with this school, my children are former studens of this school, and I really love the way the teachers and the prinicipal Mr. Duncan spend time witht the student and parents and participate in th student's academics, when my child first enterted this school he was reading at a 1st grade level in the 4th grade, I am now happy to say that my son is now reading at a 7th grade level in the 5th grade, thanks to El Dorado's Excel program and the great teachers.
