We love Green Gables. My daughter has been a student here from Kindergarten-5th and I also have a 2nd grader who has been here since Kindergarten. Every single person who works here knows my children and cares deeply for them. The administrators and teachers, even custodial staff know us all by name and greet us daily with smiles and hugs. My daughters feel like this is their school, they are passionate about the students here and the community that is generated within the school. One of my daughters needs extra support with reading and we've been so impressed with the coaching and instruction that is given to children who need a little extra learning support. My oldest daughter has loved the depth that they get to engage in with history and social studies and we've seen so much growth in the way she takes responsibility for her own learning. As a parent, I've been impressed with communication between myself and my kids' teachers and I also love the units that they get to go through in their classes. They tackling hard subjects and get to develop skills that are helping them grow both in and out of their classrooms. I'm confident that my children are better humans because of Green Gables and will move on to middle school beyond prepared and excited about learning! I can't say enough, we love this school!

Green Gables is a fantastic school and wonderful community. We have had excellent experiences with all teachers, and the school has great support staff and administration. Mrs. Withee is an exceptional and engaged principal. Green Gables is a small, community-minded school with great care for all their students.

I cannot say enough good things about Green Gables Elementary. We moved into this district right before our son started Kindergarten and have been blown away by the welcoming community, over the past year. The principal and staff are unbelievable! The principal greets each student at the door and really makes an effort to know each child's name. The school only has two (2) classes per grade, making it an ideal size to foster that tight-knit community we were seeking to find. Green Gables encourages family involvement with field trips, class parties, Friday folders, etc. Overall, I am happy to report that our son has thrived in the classroom and looks forward to going to school!

School, was a terrible experience for my children, the current principal 24-25 is an extreme passive person and will not address bulling, inequitable situations or work towards inclusion in any matter.

Really disappointed. I have kids currently attending GG, and we had a fairly good experience their first year, but the two subsequent years have been rough. Teachers have clear favorites and least favorites, and don’t seem to be very kind to or about some students. The academics have been less than impressive. Little to no differentiation or small groups seem to be happening, and I am watching my kids get more and more frustrated academics, yet when an adult at home works with them, they pick up on topics quickly. I wish homeschooling was an option for our family, because I feel like my kids’ needs are just ignored since they are middle of the road students (not super gifted, not super behind). I think the staff needs some major development on how to use actually data to adjust how they teach, how to effectively teach with the new math curriculum, and how to meet students where they are at as individuals. Their discipline actions are also super outdated, so maybe it’s time to get up with the times on educational trends.

The experience at this school has been very negative. The teachers don't respond to e-mails and are very dismissive about academic concerns, etc. I have never felt so un-easy at a school as they truly do not seem to care about my student or concerns. I would NOT recommend this school.

We love GG! Currently have one kiddo in kinder and the year has been so loving and kind. The principal and staff are incredible. They make every effort to know each child's name as well as the names of all the parents/caregivers. The environment is great and feels safe. My kiddo adores his teacher and looks forward to going to school! I am so thankful we choiced in. We had several options and are very glad to have landed here.

I am in year four of being a parent at Green Gables. We love that it is tucked into a quiet neighborhood, an older brick building, the smaller size, and community garden/outdoor classroom; It feels cozy. There is a great sense of community at this school and they decorate a float for the St. Patrick's Day parade every year, as well as numerous other community outreach events. The teachers and staff are excellent with high teacher retention. The test scores were good when we started and have continually improved every year, which shows growth. There is a strong emphasis on social emotional learning and accommodations are made for students that require extra attention. They recently hired a Dean of students to assist in these areas. There are 1:1 chromebooks starting in kindergarten, but technology is balanced and not overdone.

We are so glad that we picked this school. Our son is in kindergarten and so far, it's been amazing to see his progress. He is reading, writing and already doing some math, but most importantly, he has developed his social skills so much since school started. The school really does a great job in promoting the social- emotional skills these kids need at this age. The communication between parents, teachers and the principal is outstanding. The staff truly cares about the students and there are so many opportunities to meet everyone with all the school events and activities. We truly feel lucky to have found this school and to have choiced in.

We choiced into this school and feel so lucky that we are here. My daughter loves it and has learned a lot and had a great experience. Even the remote learning, while not ideal, is done so well that she pays attention and gets her work done. Her teacher has been great, and the principal knows her and all the kids by name and even greets parents in the car line. The building is a bit older and the playground plainer than some other schools, but that’s really the only thing that I might change. I would highly recommend this school...it’s like a hidden gem. Small with lots of heart.

I enrolled instead of my home school here and am so glad we did! It's a small school and the teachers get to know all the kids by name. I've seen tremendous growth in my son's academic, social, and creative learning. Though the facilities aren't the newest, they are getting significant renovations over the summer that will refresh all the interiors add natural lighting to the classrooms.

Negative mostly, but overall a 3/10. Looks like a nice school on the outside, but once inside the walls, mismanagement and discriminatory practices seem to occur much too often. It's an exclusive rather than inclusive environment.

I will tell everyone I possibly can about how wonderful this school is in every single aspect. I'll be sad when my kids age out.

We have had the best experience so far. Every teacher we have loved and the office/principal is excellent. So happy we decided to "choose" this school over our home school. Thank you GG

We love our quaint neighborhood school and currently have two students attending. "It takes a village to raise a child," and we've found our village here at Green Gables Elementary School. It's a close knit community that truly learns and grows together. Both of our students have been challenged and embraced by the teachers and staff, who go above and beyond to ensure students feel valued. We are strong advocates of Green Gables! Go Leprechauns!

My child has grown on many levels since attending Green Gables Elementary School with the help of the teachers and staff. My child's varied needs have been met effectively and without hesitation. My child loves to go to school each morning, learning and his friends. As a parent I like the community (family, really) that makes up Green Gables parents, teachers and staff.

My kids absolutely love being at Green Gables! It is their home away from home, and the kids and community there really do become a family. They feel safe, smart, valued, and loved. I wouldn't want my kids anywhere else!

We have been very pleased with Green Gables. No school or child is perfect, but I appreciate the size and strong partnerships between staff, students, parents and community members. GG's motto is Learning and Growing Together. The school has been recognized by the district for their growth in scores in 2018 as well as on Great Schools. Staff turnover is very low and leadership and parent involvement is up. That is a recipe for success for any school.
