I have had several children go through the school. Some experiences were. Better than others. My biggest complaint is the way Arlington Schools deal with bullying as a while.

Minimizes bullying and parents have to find a way to solve the issue.

My son was removed from Overlook Primary and placed in Vail Farm due to the services he required and classroom setting. We are more than pleased with the progress my son has shown in the two years he has been a student in Vail Farm. Jennifer Sullivan, his teacher, and all of the assistants and therapists that work with my son have done an outstanding job with him. He receives all services from Vail Farm and is a multiple disabled student, but he has grown so much and his progress is more than we expected this early. Thank You to all the staff that work daily with my son and help him accomplish his goals!

School use to be great. Now run by a principal who discourages and parent involvement. She is against any holiday celebrations. Teachers fear doing activities and celebrations with children due to her attitude towards it. School is inclusion school of district. Some good programs for that, but no focus put on children of high academic ability. Great if your child needs extra help. Terrible for the academically gifted. There are some good teachers, but also some really bad teachers.

This is a beautiful school with most (not all) teachers and staff being well educated and knowledgeable. Many teachers have been here since the opening of the school in 2004, however the changes in administration have put a damper on the school climate as a whole. The present principal is not easily approachable but IS very easily irritated and high strung with teachers/staff. If the school climate and culture is not set by the ones in charge then it is sure going to trickle down on the teachers and staff. For the most part it is a good school but not as good as it was years ago. It's a shame that the taxes are so high because it would be better to invest in a private school where I am sure the school climate and culture is much better and everyone is respected by the ones in charge.
