We love Meher! Both my husband and I, and our son are alumni. We’re big fans! It’s a place where compassion and support are palpable.

We love the Meher Schools! I attended there as a child so we actually bought our house to be walking distance to the School. We feel that one of the greatest gifts that we can give our children is to send them to the Meher Schools. Both of our children started there in preschool and have continued through the elementary program. What do we love so much: a whole child education, art and drama are integrated into the curriculum every week, many beautiful gardens around campus and education in the garden is integrated into the curriculum, physical education is integrated into the curriculum, teachers who care deeply about their students while in their class and beyond, music is integrated into the curriculum, the school choruses are fabulous, wonderful before and aftercare (7 AM-6:30 PM) at a very reasonable rate, the affordability of the school, warm approachable staff, wonderful graduates that stand out, etc. I could go on and on. As our oldest child is graduating, we have looked at many options (about a dozen, mostly preK or K-8 schools) for middle school and haven't been able to find another school that we think we would adore as much as the Meher Schools.

I am an alumni of the Meher Schools. I attended for preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school. I had a wonderful experience there. I went on to graduate from UC Berkeley and now own a law practice in the area.

What an extraordinary school. They use the Nurtured-Heart Approach, which means that discipline is achieved by reinforcing and encouraging desired behavior, as opposed to putting the focus on punishing undesirable behavior. The atmosphere on campus is therefore very safe and loving. In my experience, it's a place where the child's individual strengths are emphasized, and their most elevated qualities allowed to bloom.

My child attend the school. I would highly recommend the school. The teachers focus on developing all facts of the child and it is not just academically focused. They focus on emotional growth and relationship growth amongst peers. Due to the small class sizes, the teachers are able to provide more personal focus, which is really good. The community is strong and has helped each other through these COVID-challenges in 2020-2021.

I love working at the Meher Schools. I volunteered for two years before taking a full time position (currently in year 5). The atmosphere is pleasant, the other teachers are kind, and the administration is extremely supportive. I have no plans of ever leaving!

What a unique and spectacular school! My wife and I both went here as children and it had a huge impact on us. The staff is incredibly kind and dedicated. They really create a supportive atmosphere where the children come first and everyone is treated with love. When it was time to send our daughter to preschool, we knew she had to go here! The preschool (White Pony) is non-academic, and they focus on developmentally appropriate tasks and fostering kindness and compassion. When she has a tantrum they help her learn tools to deal with her emotions instead of punishing her.We plan to keep her there through the oldest grade, 5th grade. The elementary still has the same focus but also has a solid academic program, so I know she'll be ready to go to middle school. We're also really excited about the enrichment options, both for preschool and elementary. They have great programs in art, chorus, drama, gardening, and more!Somehow, the tuition is always super low, too. It's less than half of the price of most other nonsectarian private schools in the area!

My daughter has so far attended kinder and 1st grade at the Meher school and is reading chapter books on her own everyday this summer. More important, she is in an environment that is caring, respectful, non-punitive. Arts and creativity happen everyday. Teachers understand children and allow them to be who they are (within limits) of course. The children flourish here. What a special school!

I went to this school about 9 years ago and it is a wonderful community with nothing short of wonderful people. You will make friends here that will stay your friends for the rest of your life. Meher School doesn't prepare you for the real world because being there is like a fantasy. Simply put, I want to go back.

I was a student at Meher and have only wonderful things to say about it. The school's environment is both welcoming and nurturing and can make anyone feel right at home. When I entered middle school I was suprised because I had already learned much of the same material from Meher the previous year. Not only does it stress creativity through writing and the arts, but it also has wonderful after school activities. Looking back, I think it was what made my childhood so memorable.
