We just moved to the area a little over a year ago. My sons have both received the support and care they needed in their academics and have thrived at this school! The teachers, para-educators, principal, and staff have all shown care and support for my kids and the students at Franklin. My wife and I are especially grateful for the speech therapy my son received at the school. His speech and grades have significantly improved this past year! Highly recommend this school!!!

This school by far is the WORST front office staff!!! my child is ignored and treated rude by the front desk person on a daily basis i have had it with her she need replaced ASAP THAT SHOULD NOT BE TOLERATED PERIOD!! Teachers seem to be pretty good definitely not fond of the PE teacher all i hear him do is yell at the kids DONT work with children if you do not have patience!! I agree with MANY other reviews regarding the principle shes NEVER available EVER always busy and never follows through with the problems she over looks everything i already put in a transfer for next year i pray i get it i hate sending my child to a school like this

Yes, this a good school for extra enrichment and there are some exceptional teachers. However, the Principle, though vivacious and friendly, is severely lacking in her approach to bullying. My child is constantly being bullied. I have met many children and parents who are getting frustrated with her lack of resolve and lackadaisical approach to bullying. I was informed that more than a handful of children have left the school because of this and I am getting ready to pull my child out as well. It is a shame, because we like the school, but the Principle is a bit lazy about protecting our children.

This is our first year at Ben Franklin Elementary, and I can say that by far this school goes out of its way to enrich the students here. There are plenty of opportunities for the kids to participate in during and afterschool. They are challenged academically and the Teachers really care for their well being. I would recommend this school to any parents that have elementary school age kids. The office staff is also very helpful and that is a true sign that teamwork is important at this school.

We love our school! The office staff is wonderful, the teachers are kind and caring. There are a lot of activities for the students, the class sizes are small compared to other schools in the desert.

This School is a IB Elementary, one of two at the District, they have a Spanish Instructor who teaches once a week, they offer computer lab for the kids, they offered Technology classes after school for the upper levels grades, they also have some other after school classes, such as choir, basketball, legos, football, cheerleaders, keyboards, talent show, they offer tutoring for all the grade levels. They participate on Math Field Day, Battle of the Books, Ballroom competition, they have a science night for the kids, they also offer ASES an after school program that runs till 5:40, very well organized. they have a great reading program for the kids, that had help mine through the years, most of the teachers have open doors for volunteer parents, they also have a program for DADS, call the Watch DOGS (dads of great students). they offer and Art program working with the McCallum Theater they take the kids to see performances and the ART Instructors from the McCallum come and work with the kids. Its a great Elementary, Great Teachers, Great Environment. Best Elementary School in the Desert!

This school is very beautiful. The staff here compared to other schools my children have attended aren't very friendly. I believe its more of a fashions show than teachers who actually care about the childrens well being. They don't say good morning or hello unless initiated. The staff inside the office is rude and dismissive. The fall festival this year was poorly put together and hardly any of the female staff working looked as if they wanted to be there. The woman doing the cake walk was yelling at the children and many were complaining how mean the teachers were and how this year sucked. Most prizes were crayons melted into patterns. Not a pleasant or warm feeling here I'm transfering my child asap.

I love that this school has many after school activities. Ballroom, ballet, violin, keyboard, band, choir, musicals, legos, zumba, talent show, tennis, football, basketball, and many others. I think after school activities are very important in a childs education. With all the school budget cuts most of our teachers volunteer their time to make all this possible. Teachers here take their teaching to the next level with their students.
