I’m an 8th grade transgender student, and I have been bullied for being myself. I have received death threats, been told to kill myself, been bullied and ridiculed, and the staff has done that much about it. When I was in my 7th grade year, a boy called me slurs and gave me death threats. The only thing this school done about that is have him email me an apology and give him a one day in school suspension. The teachers are supportive of LGBTQIA+ students, which is amazing! But, when discrimination happens, they don’t do anything. Even when it’s right in front of their faces. And the students? Don’t get me started. They’re bullies, rude, racist, homophobic, transphobic, and disrespectful. They cuss out teachers and get into so many fights, it’s honestly ridiculous.I don’t recommend this school if you’re not cisgender, heterosexual, or skinny. This school is terrible and the students will make fun of you if you’re not popular.

TLRD: This school is not the best. Most of the teachers are good, management is eh, community could be a lot better, and fights plague the school. Would not recommendThe teachers are good I say. With a few exceptions, the teachers are fun, and good at what they do. You have your occasional strict teachers and such but the teachers are good. Best part of the school.Management is neutral. Principal and Vice-Principal are somewhat good, they try to engage with the community so there good. Most of the other staff members I don’t know that well the others are great, cafeteria staff especially. However, the school community is bad, and specifically fights. Fights happen concerningly often. From once every few weeks at best to multiple times a day at worse. Attention these fights grab is not good. The community ain’t great, lots of rebellious kids. However since it’s a middle school it’s not that surprising, and due to the fact that most of the worst kids are 8th graders (including me), maybe this may change in the future. In conclusion, the school ain’t great. If the school will get better or worse is up for discussion, but I won’t be there to see. But I still think there are better options for you.

This school is not what they say they are. From the Vice Principal to the attendance secretary they are rude and unprofessional. If you have a choice stay away from this school. In my opinion they are not far from the bottom of the list. Concerned Parent

there is no other school I would rather send my children to in this valley. They are top honors in high school now and their seems to be that known of the students from CMP among the high school teachers through out this valley.

We have had to fight hard to protect our child's rights. We have dealt with district staff who infer that this school is substandard and has many issues. We are in the process of considering a transfer for our child because we are so concerned about the incompetence of administration and special education staff.

Terrible, a 1 would be considered generous.

Im a student there, And i love it im gonna be an 8th grader, i have been there since the 6th grade Its a very good school but the teacher mainly focus on state test. I gave the school a five, it deserves it All though it has ups & down. For ex sample: dress code, we should be able to wear sleeveless shirts not tanks or strapless but sleeveless(: shorts , not to short but be able to wear shorts This year we had to get landyards: i understand why but to get in trouble all the time no worth it plus we wasted lost of paper. Pericings: in the 6th grade we were able to have them and this tear we weren't why? Staff would make me take mine out every time every tho it was still healing i had a nose ring Staff: excellent Lunch: ok Teachers: fine but sometimes very mean Classroom: some time out of control but fine Those are somethings i thought i should point out to change or to keep in mind(: So thats what i have to say

This school does not keep the parents in the loop. If there are issues at the the school they send you an automated message. I never was able to meet personally with any of the teachers.

My daughter attended 2011-12. I was extremely disappointed with this school. She has always struggled academically and I sought help from the teachers she had last year on numerous occasions. I was lucky to get maybe a 2 line response in an email if that. I felt like the administration was more interested in having everyone pass their state test than to focus on the individual needs of their students. School in general has become just another "cookie cutter" institution. It won't get any better with 40-50 kids per classroom.
