This school mkhas a great system that I've noticed. The staff is friendly and my sons teacher and the teacher assistant are great. Lots of communication on social media and with the teacher-parent app. so far not a complaint from me.

This school is a disappointment. The staff are insanely rude and the principal isn’t any better. Sided with his disrespectful staff. Threatened to send police to my home and said his staff screaming at parents was her doing her job. This is beyond unprofessional, insulting and humiliating. I’ve contacted desert sands school district about this. I was falsely accused of things by this staff and I’m not okay with it. I have 5 kids and they have been in many schools and have never experienced a schools unprofessionalism until now.

With new construction in the area, principal has done an amazing job directing traffic and keeping our kids safe. Great school in general and such sweet staff!!

Poor. This is probably because the teacher my child has is a very poor communicator and is extremely harsh and unfriendly.

All the messages I get from that school are about fundraising! The principal records the messages and he sounds like radio commercial! The bus is NEVER on time. It can be up to 40 mins late or earlier that the scheduled drop off time. Bullying is a major issue. We spent half of first grade at a different school before we moved and got into that school. The first school was rated 7 and Ford school is 8. However my daughter showed more progress at the other school, she wanted to go to school even on weekends. But since we started Gerald Ford, she had completely changed, she hates school, she doesn’t want to go at all. It became a nightmare to make her to go to school. The only good thing we’ve seen there was Ms Orion, first grade teacher. She really cares about her students and tries to help as much as she can.Administration office is clueless, just like the principal. They have only one goal which is fundraising. When I spoke to the principal about bullying going on in his school, he COMPLETELY DISMISSED the subject.

We couldn't be happier with Gerald Ford. Fantastic Principal, Teachers and staff.

Staff are incompetent & not carrying out their position's requirements & responsibilities! They discriminating, neglectful,& fail to make incident reports! Staff believe it's ok for a 12yr old to severely bite a a 5yr old without being being provoked!!! The staff from principle to teachers aide are all Horrible!

The older office staff is very rude & doesn't make you feel warm & inviting at all. I feel like they forget they work at a elementary school. The drop off/pick up area is terrible & unsafe kids are almost getting ran over when you first pull in. Safety should be this schools #1 priority but it doesn't seem to be high on the list.

My daughter started attending this school in 1st grade and is now going into 5th. The staff is AMAZING, they are very helpful in pushing your child to do their best. The parents are very nice and we all try to help each other out, going to really miss this school. But it is AMAZING if you can be patient with the crowded lines at pick up than you will love it here too!!

As a parent, I'm happy and lucky to have my kids in a great school! Ford has caring and wonderful teachers and a great principal, Mr. Davis. The parents are also in involve with any school activities. Ford communicates with parents about any situations going on in the school by letters or even phone calls. My kids tells me and my husband how their teachers are super nice, fun, and sometimes their teachers can be strict especially when it comes to teaching and homework. I tell my kids, that's because your teachers want to make sure you're learning and you care about your grades!!

My school is very cool because everybody is nice except Miss Pat. I love my teacher Mrs. Clark and I loved my teacher last year, Mrs. Orson. My favorite part of school is Social Studies because we're doing something called "Clark's Market Place". My parents and I love the "Arts in the Garden" that takes place at my school every year.

A bit disappointed in this school. There is no communication. A teacher was accused of inappropriate conduct with a student and there was no communication to the parents about it. There was no letter on the situation or on what steps are the school going to take to ensure my child's safety. Also, school year has started, and my child doesn't have a teacher yet. The last 8 days, my child has had 3 different substitutes and there has been NO communication to the parents on the status of a permanent teacher. I am very disappointed

This school is far to crowded, my oldest grandchild went there, all thur- K- 5th grades, it was a wonderful school in all ways! My youngest grandson started school just this year, what a difference it was this year from 2 yrs ago when my oldest was there, it is so full now, my little 5 yr old was in a class of 36, and the teacher with no help! She had no time to really speak to any one about any thing, when i tried to converse with this woman she just talked down to me and blew me off quickly, I was shocked! I guess she was overwhelmed, and I certainly see why!!! Let us not even go into what it is like to pick your child up, it is really a nightmare of the worst sort! This school is so bad, we took our child out!
