My child is enrolled in the IB Program, and the level of dedication by the counselor and teachers is impressive. The students in this program are led by their teachers to become critical thinkers who are engaged in school.

Most of my experiences have been good, but other things have been completely uncalled for.

When my son was in grammar school, a teacher told me that my son may have a disability and suggested that I take him to a Doctor. Years later, my son ended up here and was having problem. A friend told me to ask for services that would give him more support. I took my son back to the Doctor to reconfirm his diagnosis for the school. Even though, I told the VP that my son had a previous diagnosis and had been seeing doctor early on, I was completely treated like I pulled the diagnoses out of a crack in the sky. Now, it’s great my son is getting help and everyone does their best. However, the VP uses meetings to play mind games and other staff have suggested that my son was on drugs, which was actually a jab, and not voiced as a concern. I’m glad that we can all act like grownups. I think it would be more fun if we could have a nice open conversation about their problems with me on a street corner. I mean if we are going to act like street urchins. I’m glad that we use tax payer money for what it’s meant, not to waste time playing little kid games and I’m also glad that my families personal problems, as you see it, are treated with confidentiality but something tells me it’s NOT

This school is way overcrowded with 3000 students and there is people traffic when you're just trying to get to your next class. And again with that classes are overcrowded as well and it's hard on the teachers when there are so many students. The IB program is pretty much a joke since it's so much work on a student and most colleges don't even look at it anyway. Athletics are pretty good but it is sad that there isn't that much school spirit. Also the location of the school is horrible since there is traffic going into and leaving school. I had to wait 20 minutes in the school parking lot IN THE HEAT just to leave. You pretty much have to run to your car if you want to leave early. And the size of the school definitely doesn't accommodate 3000 people. Also I don't know why schools out here are outdoors when it gets like 100+ degrees some days and we can't even use the pool. So the only people giving this school good ratings are parents that wouldn't know any better since they aren't the ones that go to this school.
