My son is in 6th grade and has been attending in person rather than online. As a single mom with 2 boys, my experience with the school district has been extremely positive. I have seen them have to make some hard, necessary, and perhaps, unpopular decisions based on the current conditions but all with the motivation of keeping children and staff safe. I am grateful to the district for the option of in person learning and the educators who showed up in this pandemic to teach. My son is not in sports and not in accelerated classes and reports having a good experience with all of his teachers, especially Mr. Smith, which he describes as kind despite not being a Cowboys fan :) Everyone I have interacted with has been helpful and kind and I feel fortunate to live in a supportive educational community.

I love the school and most of the teachers but there are many cases where it seems things aren't being handled the right way or special education teachers are rough with the students and nothing get's done about bullying
