My experience with this school was great. The teachers where very kind and knew what they were doing. The families were so supportive, and lots of families volunteer for events. In all the school is like family.

My children went to St Albert for many years with a good education until the new principlal came in a few years ago. She does not take child safety seriously! She allows children who are physically and mentally abusive to staff and students to stay in the classroom! We withdrew our child this year for safety reasons. Many other parents have done the same.

I have been a parent at St Albert the Great for many years . All 3 of my children have received an excellent education in academics and personal growth. The school community succeeds in preparing its students for living their best lives .

Great teachers who go the extra mile to make sure the kids succeed. My daughter has made great friends and loves going to school every morning. We do not belong to the parish and we have always felt very welcome by everyone.

Although there are quite a few good teachers at this school who really work hard at making each child succeed and are committed to the education aspect, I must agree with the other parents. This school is comparable to a sorority. It is filled with wealthy, hurtful mothers who will not acknowledge you if you are not part of the group. You can sign up and sign up to help out in the school, volunteer, and try to be a part - but forget it. You are wasting your time. These "SLOTS" are specifically for the wealthy mothers who don't work and need to fill up their time and show their faces that they volunteer. I have put my name in so many times only to have it erased and replaced with another popular mother. It's quite sad. If I, as a mother who works full time and has a college education, feels this way, you can only imagine how my child felt. Good luck, but I would avoid this school and find a more positive environment.

My son went there for a month and it was a nightmare! They favor kids that have been involved in the school before or the church. They are very rude. My little one had one bad day and they treated him awful from there on out. I had calls daily about him and they would tell my kid that he was a bad kid everyday. They told him if he styled his hair again they were going to cut his hair off. Note his hair was a normal young boy cut and I put gel in his hair. They made him sit inside one day and watch all the kids play outside. Once I removed my child from this school and put him in public he was happy again and teachers say he is doing great and my son loves it. Worst school ever!

My two children have been at St. Albert the Great school for six years and we have been thoroughly satisfied with the academic and spiritual growth the school have provided them. Here are the reasons I would recommend this school to anyone: 1.The teachers are kind and compassionate and treat the children as their own, living out their call as Christians. 2.The teachers are creative and get the students excited about reading and learning math, science and social studies with hands-on projects, thus making the academics top-notch. 3.The music and art programs are excellent. 4. My kids are excited to go to Mass every week with school (and with our family on Sundays) because they are able to participate and they feel like a true school family. 5. Children are encouraged to interact with students from other grades as a part of the faith families program and there truly is a sense of family. 6. While the school is Catholic and based in Catholic teachings, there are many non-Catholics enrolled in the school and they are embraced as brothers and sisters and encouraged to grow closer to God in their own personal faith journey, with whatever faith they profess.

I was disappointed that most of the staff do not live by catholic principles of treating every child like God's child. I feel that the school is lacking in leadership because there is a sense that teachers gossip about children and the more wealthy families are held in high esteem.

This school is an insult to educational institutions everywhere. Both the teachers and the parents are far more concerned with their elitist cliques and daily gossip of upper middle-class suburbia than with meeting anything but the most basic educational needs of their students. That raw deal, however, is only even granted for students who's family is in good standing among the cliques. Regarding the rest of the student body, those that remain quiet and obedient receive their sub-standard education with minimal duress. As for those students who dare to toe the line or even cross it, they become the central focus of the staff and are labeled almost immediately as a "problem child". Henceforth, that student will have every detail of their behavior documented and subsequently exaggerated by the staff into convoluted evidence of deviancy. This, you see, is how St. Albert manages to somehow maintain their immaculate ratings and scores; by removing any student who even poses a minute threat to those ratings. Of the teachers whom I have interacted with, few are qualified. Regarding the principal, the lack of professionalism, communication and leadership skills is simply appalling.

St. Albert the Great is a wonderful school. All of my children attended school here from preschool through 8th grade. Each went on to high school more than prepared and received scholarships to several Universities. The teachers are excellent! They are willing to do anything to make your child successful! Come early or stay late. They have high expectations for each student . The math and science are challenging academic programs. The science opportunities are wonderful. They participate in the science fair, dissect sharks and go on several field trips. My children loved the Smart boards in their classroom and the access to technology. The Art and Music programs at St. Albert the Great are exceptional! Each student has the opportunity to participate in musical programs and art shows. By far the best thing at this school is the St. Albert community. Each of my children were given the opportunity to do service in the community and beyond each year. The religious education received was wonderful. Each of my children have lifelong friendships made here. Thank you to the teachers and the St. Albert community!!!!

My kids have been in this school for several years. I wouldn't recommend this school to other parents. The teachers are very gossipy. There is at least 2 hours of homework each night and it states this in the policy book. If you child is in after school sports or activities don't except to then to be in bed until at least 10pm. In my opinion the principle has a hard time maintaining his school at the level it should be at. We have experienced teachers not inputting grades or the wrong grades. Best advice I can offer is to have a basket and keep ALL paperwork in there until the end of the school year. The required summer packets must be done and it counted against your child if it isn't done and turned in the first week of school. First impression of the front office is very unfriendly and cold. Follow through on everything from grade books, teachers, paperwork, reports, teacher pages. There is no accountability where the teachers are concerned and the principle isn't the person you should turn to for help. The school is very clickish. Parents are the worse. Please beware of the school handbook. No asking questions, no questioning and that goes for staff and parents.
