Awful experience and we're ready to pull our children out of Keller ISD. The students did busy work after the STAAR test. There was no care for social emotional wellbeing.

Terrible experience. The bullying is relentless and staff couldn’t care less. In fact, my child was bullied by a teacher. Your child needs to be white, Christian, straight, and into sports to make it. Any other option is seen as “less than”. (I mean, come on. Look at the way the adults handle themselves on the Keller neighborhood website run by that Bunte dude. It’s laughable.) The school is not desirable no matter how much they want it to be. It would behoove Keller to do away with bcis and add a grade to the elementary and middle schools. My kid was treated horrible by the school nurse as well. Again. Not a favorite nor did he care to be, but still deserves basic human rights.

Leadership at this school is very sketchy. We rarely saw the principal out and about. Always the VPs. One VP in particular made me want to remove my child from this school (which we did) and left the district. We moved here from out of state and my child had problems making any friends. Felt horrible for them, but it was not a friendly place for us.

Our son loves the school. The teachers care about the students and support them in achieving their goals.

I do not recommend this school to anyone. The teachers do not teach in any of the core classes like math, English, subjects. It's expected that the students know what and how to do the assignments. The motto on the KISD website says it all, " Intentionally Exceptional". Very egotistic. The science and social studies classes, seem to go ok. The way that the school provides instructions on the papers is very poor. So, no wonder the kids struggle here. Communication is at best a struggle with the school. Bullying to include verbal and physical, has been a big problem at this school, and only until it's brought to the school's attention, did they take notice, and take any corrective action. So, what actually is being monitored on a daily basis, in this school, comes into question. The STARR test seems to be the biggest concern at this school, like all of them. The state standard is all they seem to be concerned with. Only until an assignment is missing do the teachers reach out to you, and by then, its too late, your child is going to get a marked down grade, but hey as long as they do good on the STARR test, all is looking good for them, by the state. The fact that the school uses Google, a free site to post assignments, Aeries to post grades and assignments, and an assortment of apps, makes it difficult to track assignments. Assignments don't have the same name on the different platforms, and they aren't numbered so as to quickly navigate from one platform to another, to find the actual assignment. Very dysfunctional and disorganized. ALso, the process to find assignments, is not very consistent, and they only give a couple of days from the time the assignment is posted, and when its due to be completed.

My child is having a rough time at BCIS. Teachers do not assist with classmates bullying each other nor do they control the inappropriate conversations 10 year old students have in class. I was excited for my daughter to attend the same school I attended but it is nothing like it used to be. Their biggest concern is to push testing scores for academic recognition rather than putting the children first. It's not the same and it is very disappointing to me. I hope to find a new home in a different district because KISD is not a district I would ever recommend to anyone. She came from a Birdville school and regret ever moving from that district. If you want normalcy for your children and a positive environment, this is not the school for them. This review saddens me because I loved this school when I was young.

If you have a good student who loves sports, BCI might be a good fit. If your student is at all outside of that box, I urge you to look elsewhere. Coming from out of state, we are very disappointed in 504 accommodations and school leadership. This school is "fine", but if you're used to excellence, look outside of Keller- Carroll or GCISD would be a better fit. A plus side, teachers are approachable and caring. Leadership talks a good talk, but is young and ineffective.

Excellent, organized and well thought out curriculum in an effort to mentor to each student .

Went to school here way back in the day... and by that i mean 2005-06. Awesome 2 years, i was in aqua then silver pod. Made friends easy. Teachers actually cared. School was actually interesting to me at this time. Middle school is another story, avoid ISMS.
