Very bad school way, very political and very rude teachers

Whiteaker could be such a better school, but it suffers from poor leadership and a few teachers who really drag down the school. Principal is totally inept at her job, and makes zero effort to connect with students or families. Principal also protects the teachers that are bad at their jobs at the expense of good teachers and the student body. Majority of teachers are really good, but school environment is tough to teach in with poor student behavior and students fighting, with admin doing nothing to stop it. CTE programs are solid with good teachers. Orchestra and choir programs are top notch with great directors and instruction. Band program should be much better, but suffers from unorganized and chaotic director. Special Ed teachers and staff are really good, and do the best they can in a crazy environment. School has some nice clubs before school and some sports programs after school. Overall, WMS should be a much better school. District needs to make changes quickly.

This is a great middle school. Teachers and staff work hard and really care about the students. School has an outstanding music program. Also has sports and clubs for students.

Both of my sons went to this school and it was great! The teachers and staff are very caring. The after school enrichment academy is awesome. My younger son had a great experience with the Lego Robotics team.

This school was pretty awesome. I'm a former student and I enjoyed most of my time at Whiteaker. The music programs are phenomenal and the sports are pretty good too. The teachers knew what they were doing (for the most part) and I always felt safe. I learned quite a bit here and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good middle school. My younger brother also went here and it seemed to be about the same as when I was there so I would assume everything still applies. The only thing is, there seems to be quite a few bullies there so just a caution. But yeah, overall a great school.
