I am in middle school now but I always will think of Clear Lake as my school

I went to this elementary school several years ago, and I would some it up as a one size fits all school. It’s full of rich snobbish children and their soccer moms. It’s primarily white, in fact during my time there, there was only three Hispanic students including myself. I constantly felt judged. Although, the teachers there were very kind and understanding. They did have fun traditions, like outdoor school. The atmosphere itself was welcoming, and the jump rope club was loads of fun. The school does pressure students to be involved in music and they really have no problems for art. I remember my grade being brought down because I didn’t know how to read sheets of music when I transferred there. The music teacher was rude, and I found the skills I learned to be useless after 5th grade. The core subjects (reading, math, etc.) we learned were advanced, and by the time I was in middle school, I had already learned most of the things being taught. In conclusion, Clearlake is a fun, safe place to learn. It has great academics, however it greatly lacks diversity.

The principal is extremely arrogant and dishonest. The students are one of her LEAST priority!

The new Principal was a former middle school assistant principal. Her standards seem to be based on a middle school mentality even though she is now running an elementary school. If she would align her expectations based on the age of the kids in her school and demonstrate more patience for kids outside of the mainstream that would be greatly appreciated.
