This school is very unorganized and the staff members are rude to the parents. The children feel like some teachers are being mean to them and singling them out because of their own bias and discrimination. The drop off and pick situation is terrible and no organization causing parents to be very frustrated. The staff and crossing guards are Rude as well.

Oh, the issues with this school! The woman who served as principal earlier this year is now on leave for reasons unknown and the school will not reveal the cause, which means it cannot be anything good. The problems with the administration at this school are ongoing and involve everything from complete inaction to stop bullying to outrageous demands regarding attendance to dishonesty toward parents, etc, etc. This is definitely a school you don't want to send your young children to. If you are unfortunate enough to live in the area, ask for a transfer to a different school. There are so many problems here that you should have no problem getting your request accepted.

McRoberts Elementary might seem fine at first, but parents beware: We have been called by school officials and threatened with legal action because of our kids being out sick, even though they had missed only 4 days of school and not consecutively! They even went so far as to tell us to send our sick kids to school, let them stay until 10 am so that they can take attendance, then they will send them to the school nurse to get checked and can then be sent home. They openly admitted that this is necessary so that the kid can count as present so that they can get their funding. They do not care if a sick child infects other people! It's outrageous but true, unfortunately. They care about money than learning so whatever you do, avoid this sorry excuse for a place of education!

This school is probably one of worst schools in Katy!! The teachers yell, are too strict, and just very hateful towards the kids. Most of the teachers are not experienced enough and are not understanding of kids individual learning needs. The principal is horrible and treats the kids like it is military school. My son was told it was a privilege to get to wear his shirt out...and that he HAD to wear his shirt tucked in the rest of year and she told him if he did not she would call Katy ISD police on him. He was so scared that even at and outside event he tucked his shirt in. We get no letters on upcoming events. The work load for the kids is unreasonable, pages and pages per night. Stay away from this school!! My kids will NOT go back next year.

I don't know how people can complain about this school, really, parents need to be involved in school with their kids ALWAYS and no let all the work to the teachers. BELIEVE ME...McROBERTS ELEMENTARY IS A VERY GOOD SCHOOL. Still triying to find a low rent to move again back to McRoberts with no luck. You can't find easily teachers like Mrs. Izaguirre, Mrs. Torres, Mrs. Monroy, Mrs. Rodriguez, Ms. Resendez and the staff that help kids to improve in reading, they all are with difference the best teachers that I know. Ms. Bolanos in the front office always was very sympathetic and helpful, Ms. Davila, The nurse Ms. Palomino always very sympathetic and helpful too... Teachers were so easy to contact and they called you when there was a problem, they also solved problems between kids in their classroom, few schools do that. We needed to move to a school in CY-FAIR ISD, and the change was horrible, you really can say that teachers do not care in this school, no comunication with the teachers at all and if you try they feel bothered, well, hundreds of problems with my kids I never had before. I really miss McRoberts and so my kids do.

My daughter has recently moved onto Junior High and has attended this school for 4 years. We've always been pleased with this school but last year was a very sad time. The principle who has been there for a long time had to quit her job for personal reasons. However, the new principle is very nice. My daughter was upset she left because she developed a relationship with her.

This is a terrific school. The principal really cares about the children there. She encourages those who need improvement and celebrates those who excell. She is completely approachable. The administrative staff is also professional and caring. They really get that when you support families, you get better student performance. They love and appreciate the volunteers as well. The third grade team is awesome, they manage to prepare children to suceed on the TAKS and cover other essential and "just good to know"' topics. The teachers and staff at all levels happily support whatever functions are going on at the school. It's just a great place to learn. Take advantage of all that this school has to offer, they truly want to and are making a difference!
