This school is horrible, teachers and students to much ,Discrimination, In the office they are not organized at all, the teachers carry their babies during work hours, when they want to pick up a student and they call the parents as if they were dealing with a delinquent, come get your son right now, he can no longer stay here, the school is one appearance, inside the school is another, my daughter and I had a very bad experience at the ARISTOI school.

Excellent. My daughter had learned a lot. This is her fourth year and in 7th grade. They offer accelerated math now in middle School and she can work on high school credit for language starting in 8th grade.

This school is focused on a small handful of kids. It is not satisfactory in anyway. We had to have multiple meetings and calls and were told this is a great education, as opposed to correcting the issue. So much so that we had to engage TEA and other organizations for guidance. It was sad to see.

Excellent school! The school's approach to content, curriculum, and discipline is amazing. Aristoi will give any other school and education institution a run for their money. My child started Kindergarten at Aristoi last year and the education he received far surpassed all expectations, goals, and wants I wanted for my child. I have full confidence I made the right choice by sending my child to Aristoi.

It was great when we started in kindergarten. I am not sure if the school is changing it's direction or I lucked out and didn't get a very organized teacher. My child has been an A and B student every year until 4th grade. I have had to reteach math at home. This school has never been that great in math to begin with but this teacher seems to really be clueless in this subject. The class fails a test and the test is changed to a homework grade. Materials are not retaught they just move on. There is no way my child can do well on a the Math STAARS this year. So we are just tutoring him on it ourselves. I doubt all the materials will be covered for the test by the end of year. Communication has not been very good. This is surprising to me because in the past I always felt this was an area they excelled in. Nothing is online I find out many how my child is doing in a subject when they post grades. This is our last year at this school. I am so disappointed. Talking to the teacher about my concerns seems to only to make matters worse for my child.

This is an amazing school! My children have done extremely well. I am very impressed with the classical curriculum and caliber of teachers they hire.

I liked that they had Classical teaching, thou it was extremely challenging. They need computers, they expect kids to have reports etc. in report format- typed but do not teach at school. I do feel the school emphasizes to much on petty issues. Their focus is to much on discipline to a fault. Kids are stressed all day long, I asked to view the class for an hour and was given the run around. I also have a child with disabilities and given all the proper paper work and was never addressed till I had to continue, well to late. I tried to get my child in Aistoi over two years, after two months of my child being there I wanted to remove but my only option was KISD schools and that was not happening. I will not be enrolling my child a second year at Aristoi. Think long and hard before entering your child in this school....

Classical education is usually only available at private schools. This charter is top notch- the teachers, the administrators, and the academics. The atmosphere is warm, the kids are loved, and the level of learning is high. Latin is taught starting in 6th grade. Kinder kids learn the Preamble to the Constitution. All students learn what it takes to be citizens of noble character. The history and classical literature are at a level not available even in most private schools. Additionally, there is no skimping in the math department. New students are welcomed warmly, which is unusual. The teachers are very bright, caring, and dedicated to their students' learning. This school is a treasure!

We wanted so much for Aristoi to be a good fit for our son, and for 5th grade, it was. He learned, made friends, and thrived. 6th grade this year was a rude awakening. The assignments and literature are extremely difficult, even for a child labeled "gifted" in the public school system, as our son is. My straight-A student suddenly found himself working hard to make only C's in some classes. Math and Science were very enjoyable, but not challenging enough, and there is no computer education at all. In fact, the upper campus does not have a computer lab. The school also seems to favor Christianity in a way that seems to cross the dividing line between church and state. My son finally asked to transfer to the school we are zoned to, because he's starting to feel like a failure after working so hard and seeing his grades continue to fall. I love classical education, but this school needs to make some changes to make it work, such as:1. Stop quoting Bible verses when speaking to students and parents, and make sure teachers aren't pushing religion on their students. 2. All teachers should be working together so that they understand what the children know at each stage. For example: research papers were assigned in two classes at the beginning of the year, yet the English textbook doesn't go over research papers until the last chapter.3. Classical literature doesn't have to be obscure and dull, but the selections this year certainly were. An 11 yr old does not want to read stories about the early Catholic church.4. When the brightest kids are making C's or failing, that's a clue that the curriculum is too difficult for that age group and needs to be changed.5. Computer education needs to be added. Students can't be expected to turn in perfectly typed and formatted papers when they have not been taught to type and use a word processing program.I do recommend this school for the lower grades, but not for middle school and beyond.

Overall a good school. Science and Math need improvement to become a great school. I think Science in Middle and High School will be better this year but I am not sure about Math yet. Should now by mid-year.

Greatly disappointed with this school. We gave it 3 years (in lower grade levels) and tried to be understanding as it is growing at a rapid pace and there are to be 'growing pains' to deal with. The facilities are lacking. While they are very strict about the uniform dress code (which we appreciated) they are lax when dealing with issues such as behavioral/bullying. The curriculum indicated they focused on a 'classical education' and was presented in a way to indicate this would broaden the learning experience but it seemed as though my child, who was earning high As in all subjects, was behind in comparison to her friends at the local public school. It's as if they feel the entire student body is 'special' or 'advanced' and there really isn't any way for those truly outpacing their peers to get ahead or advance. Their mission is admirable but they are not executing it well.

This school changed my life and my daughters lives. I home schooled my daughters for 4 years and vowed I would never send them to public school. I met one of the teachers from Aristoi. ((Aristoi is a public school, no tuition but is no different than a private school.... except for the cost. ) I decided to give the school a chance. This was the best decision I've made regarding my girls future. I look forward to seeing them graduate from Aristoi.

I have to disagree with the previous poster. The students welcome new students with open arms. The dress code creates a strong learning atmosphere. Uniforms have been proven to increase student achievement. The curriculum is much more advanced than public school. Also the advantage of a small school is that no child gets lost in the system. My kids and I love this school.

I have had many problems with the school. Although the school is a small community this tends to be a problem. Children are often left out by other students and are called mean things.I also have a problem with how strict the uniform is. At some point your child will have a dress code, so id rather my child be able to express herself in her younger years. Uniforms often lack personality which means you cant express yourself. Also aca claims theyre education is higher quality than public school. When my child was enrolled she came home and told me she had already learned this and that the class was boring to her. And some of the staff are extremely rude and strict. Although ive seen so many good reviews , I unfortunately have to give this school a bad one. I don't suggest this school for any child. I prefer public school where children have endless opportunities and higher education.

Our experience in lower grades was considerably different than the older grades (I'd say 3rd or 4th and up); by those ages more students with behavior, academic and social issues were transferring in (no reflection on the teachers, but this matters). My advice is to speak with parents of *older* students, who spend a great deal of time up there, and have some other experience to compare it to. By comparison our other options were a much better fit for our family.

My daughter started Kindergarten here last year. As a now 1st grader, she is learning about ancient Mesopotamia and many other challenging and interesting subjects. In addition, she is learning about character - for example, this month they are studying the character trait of perseverance. She adores her teacher, as well as the art and music teachers. My daughter loves school and is thriving. You couldn't ask for a more caring or harder working headmaster. Because of the curriculum, outstanding leadership, and caring educators, I highly recommend Aristoi Classical Academy.

I honestly believe in Aristoi's way of teaching and concept of learning. The teachers and staff seem to take interest in the students. So far this school year I have seen an improvement in my Granddaughter's study habits and attitude towards her teacher and other students.
