My child has been there for a few years and this will be her last year. Bullying is an everyday issue and when my child tries to talk to an adult it is often times swept under the rug. The principal is so worried about being everyone's friend and not making a student feel bad that there is no discipline in this school. My child has been assaulted by another student while they were reading a book and the only thing that happened was a meeting with the parents, my child is told that if she sees something to say something but when she does she is often told that is tattle tailing and to move along, very confusing as a student and a parent. I can't wait for my child to not be in this school any longer.

I love the teachers and staff, and my kids have learned so much! It is a wonderful school.

I absolutely love JES. My 4 children have all had great experiences and have become well educated by the great teaching staff at JES. The teachers take the time to communicate with parents and keep us apprised of our student's progress.

I am incredibly disappointed with Johnson Elementary. First off the school is filled with bullies and/or children who are just downright a bunch of hooligans. My son's teacher told me his class was the worst acting class she has ever taught and she has been a teacher for over 20 years. On top of that the way they discipline the students is either extremely unfair and doesn't fit the crime, or they completely disregard the more serious issues. When weather is bad, indoor recess (if you even want to call it that) consists of sitting indoors playing video games. The staff here also doesn't seem to genuinely care for the children either and good luck getting a hold of the principle since he is so busy he rarely has time to speak to you. If your child enjoys being picked on and harassed, loves doing mindless worksheets over and over again, and learns best through video games and tv then send them to JES! If NOT, I would SERIOUSLY re-consider on moving here or sending your child to this school. Any school is better than this one.
