Ruined my child. She became a whole new person and not for the better. Do not send your kids here.

My child was agressively bullied & assaulted on numerous occasions while attending these school. She was once assaulted with a weapon which lead me to abruptly pulled her from school in her second year. My child was diagnosed with PTSD stemming from the assault. While attending, she told me of multiple occurrences of students bringing weapons to school. It seems the school doesn’t have an effective strategy nor a desire to implement one for ensuring the safety of all their students.

Parkside has multiple offerings for our children. Both girls have earned High School credit in Math and Languages. The band/music program is second to none. The school used to be a priority school and was highly misunderstood. I would encourage any prospective parent that truly cared about education to tour the building and don't give rumor any merit.

All 4 of our children attended Parkside Middle School and all had very good experiences. We were very pleased with the advanced academic offering! High school math and foreign language credits are available. All our children entered Jackson High School with two years of high school math credits (algebra and geometry) and one year of foreign language credits. The music/band program is also outstanding.

This school can not handle it's diversity and has no idea on how to handle bullying between races. I have had no good interactions with teachers or administration. Getting some help and insight into bullying would benifite the childen that do not have a choice but go here for there education.
