My two children are thriving at Chesapeake Academy. They both love their school, their teachers, and their friends. The small class size allows staff to really focus on each child’s individual needs and they do an amazing job differentiating. I love the access my child has to technology, STEM, and hands on learning. They do so many cool projects and really bring the learning to life for the kids. I also find the parent communication exceptional. I don’t know what we would do without CA!

Chesapeake Academy offers every student from pre-K through eighth grade a nurturing, loving, supportive emotional environment and a challenging curriculum that prepares each student for high school--and its graduates have attended many academically rigorous high schools where they have excelled in academic, social, athletic and leadership roles. It's really extraordinary to find a school of this quality, led by such an experienced and competent administrative team, and staffed with such remarkably talented teachers, in the little village of Irvington. After fifty years in this community, CA has a reputation for excellence and a proven record of accomplishment.

Chesapeake Academy offers a quality education in a small, family oriented environment. Parents and teachers have a partnership that results in accountability for the student and teacher. Our children have access to current technology, a robust STEAM program and a differentiated approach to their unique learning styles. Respect, integrity, honesty and accountability are at the forefront of our children's educational experience, and it shows!

Chesapeake Academy is a pre-k through 8th grade independent school in Irvington, Virginia. We are dedicated to the success of every student, academically, socially and culturally. Our teachers develop their curricula based upon the individual learning style of each student so that each child has every opportunity to learn and grow academically and emotionally. Parents are encouraged to be active participants in their child's education and our teachers are readily available to parents and students for help and guidance. Chesapeake Academy offers a wonderful environment that nurtures the strengths of each and every student. Our students graduate as young men and women who are well prepared academically and socially for a successful high school career.

Chesapeake Academy is a gem in the Northern Neck of Virginia. Is serves kids from PK-8th grade. I have 2 kids that attended there for 10 years. I cannot say enough about the teachers, administration and facility. It is a loving nurturing yet structured environment that caters to the entire child. I have two kids with different learning styles and they both flourished at Chesapeake Academy. I am not sure we would have moved to the area if Chesapeake Academy was not an option. You should definitely stop by for a tour you will be sold when you walk in the door !!

Chesapeake Academy is a wonderful school. I currently have 2 children enrolled, am serving as the president of their "CAPPA"-Chesapeake Academy Parents & Patrons Association, serve on the board through CAPPA & the their marketing committee. We love being part of Chesapeake! It has a family feel to it. You walk in the door and the children, teachers and faculty are so polite and take the time to know you. They are accredited by VAIS. My children love going to school. My son in 3rd grade is reading at a 5th grade level. They teach spanish from pre-k through 8th. Each child is different and they teach in multiple ways to make sure your child is learning to the best of their abilities. They also have much to offer after school time ends with sports, music lessons & after school homework help. With being a small private school in a small town, we are so fortunate to have Chesapeake. Chesapeake has wonderful support from the community and the children love to give back to their community as well. The parents, faculty, teachers and staff work very hard in making this a safe and happy place for us all. Highly recommended!

I love my sons school. He started kindergarten this year, and I couldn't be happier. The teachers are wonderful, there's follow through with discipline and there's structure, while at the same time the kids are allotted some free time during the day. parents are very involved, the teachers love the children and the children love the teachers back. The school emphasizes responsibility and character, which is so important in today's day and age. It is a wonderful place to send your child and I highly recommend Chesapeake Academy in Irvington, VA

This amazing school has really embraced structured learning to meet all student's skill levels. The teacher teach to each student how each student learns best. This small school has an excellent student-teacher ratio really creating a near one-on-one with teachers, which in invaluable. Beside excelling in academics, Chesapeake Academy also offers music, arts, and sports. Students who graduate from the 8th grade at Chesapeake Academy enter High School ready to rise to the occasion, many assuming leadership roles at the next level. A well rounded school where common core value such as respect, honesty, and integrity are taught from Pre-K and up. The faculty and staff at Chesapeake Academy continually rise above the parents expectations in all areas. We are so fortunate to have a school like Chesapeake Academy to provide that much needed educational base as our two children begin learning as they get older. On a scaled of 1-10 with 10 being the highest, I would give Chesapeake Academy 100!

My daughter has thrived at Chesapeake Academy. Her teacher, Mrs. Herman, is the best teacher she has had since Pre-K. My daughter has grown socially and academically this year. I love that CA teaches the whole child, incorporating important life skills and lessons into their curriculum. The school truly feels like a community where entire families are welcome and encouraged to be involved.
