Beacon Park K-8 has been such a great fit for my children. One of the highlights for them has been the amazing choir program, where they've been able to explore their love for music and participate in performances that bring the school community together. The school also offers plenty of opportunities for students to get involved in volunteer work, teaching them responsibility and the importance of giving back at a young age.In addition to the academics, Beacon Park really knows how to keep things fun! The fall festival is a big hit every year, and my kids always look forward to it. The school also hosts events like school dances, which are well-organized and tons of fun for the students. It’s a well-rounded experience where kids can learn, grow, and enjoy their time with friends. I couldn’t be happier with all the opportunities Beacon Park provides!

Beacon Park K-8 in Irvine has been an incredible experience for our family! The school fosters a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community where students and parents alike feel supported. The teachers are not only highly skilled but also deeply invested in each student's success, creating an engaging and nurturing environment in the classroom. My children are always excited to go to school, and I’ve noticed significant growth in both academic achievement and personal development. The classroom experience is dynamic, with a strong focus on creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. Technology is well-integrated, and hands-on learning opportunities are abundant. The teachers encourage curiosity and make learning exciting and fun. The administration and staff are approachable, always ready to address concerns and celebrate the successes of students.Overall, Beacon Park K-8 feels like a true community school where everyone works together for the betterment of the students. I highly recommend this school to any family seeking a supportive and enriching educational experience.

Not one bad thing to report about the school. Highlight: The Musical that IPSF runs with Ms. Armi/Ms. Phoebe/ Ms.Laurie is mind blowing! It's like a Broadway quality show on a small scale. Complete with cutting edge technology from this 4 years newly built school. The Music program starting in 4th grade is also impressive with Orchestra, Strings and Vocal instruction. Technology is ON POINT. Every 3rd grader gets access to a Chromebook for their use at school. When the school was shut down for COVID19, IUSD and Beacon Park got their students on-line within 1.5 weeks of the Governor's Stay-At-Home declaration. Where our LA School that we left didn't get their students online for 3 weeks. Amazing. Seamless.

Even though a lot of my scores may not reflect it my experience was not terrible. There is a lot of things that it really needs to work on and especially since it is new, I understand that it will take time. Bullying and verbal abuse I think is a big issue with the school and they seem to let kids get away with it even if they are proven to be the perpetrators. The staff and their comfort ness is also something that I am passionate should be dealt with. The teachers never seemed to particularly care about the actual students and how their learning, caring more about letter grades and their own reputation as teachers. They also dealt with standards based grading entirely wrong. I don’t think they understand the concept of standards based grading and how it’s supposed to make a student feel as if they are learning rather them making them feel dumb or worthless(as many teachers have made me and many others feel). Hopefully they will improve their program, especially their middle school program. They need to understand that we are still kids and that everyone deserves respect, this is not really instilled in any of the students. The teachers and staff need to behave more as comforting humans instead of seeming robotic. Some good things about this school is that I’ve made so many friends and it is a lot more diverse than some other schools in Irvine. The two breaks that we had in a day were really nice, and the technology is very good.
