This was an amazing school a couple years ago. Sadly it no longer isn’t. My child was assaulted by another student and nothing done about it. The teachers are overwhelmed. They have more students than they should. There’s hardly any staff, great teachers quit constantly. There should be a waitlist again, and teachers should stop being so concerned of state tests and ratings and honestly teach and care about kids education.

This school is not what it used to be. Our first child attended this school around 5-10 years ago and they had a great learning experience. Our first child was well versed in Spanish and received a great overall education. They were well prepared for middle school and high school. Our second child now attends this school and nothing could be further from the truth. Our second child receives A's and great scores from the teacher but does very poorly on the standardized tests that indicate their actual performance. While our second child has been at this school for several years, I don't think they actually know Spanish. Our second child is performing at 1-3 grade levels below their actual grade in mathematical concepts and is lacking basic skills that they need to succeed. We have asked for help from teachers and advice on where to look for practice worksheets or help and get absolutely nothing. We have also requested help to evaluate for potential learning disabilities and received very little help here as well. We are now looking at other options outside of the district. This school is not what it used to be. I am not sure what happened. The principal left recently and they have had an interim principal this year. I have heard that the good teachers don't stay since they are not treated well but I am not sure what the cause is. I also know that they spent a ton of money on rebuilding the entrance to the school but now don't have enough space for all students so have portable classrooms out back. I am fairly confident that they have been taking a lot more students so this could also affect class size and demand from teachers. All I can say is that you should consider another school and not apply for this school.

I would you rate your experience at this school very highly, but I get bullied a lot and since the person that would do it, has the whole class as their friend, they are on the bully's side. Nobody would believe me.

We love Forest Glen. It’s an inclusive diverse Spanish Immersion School with amazing educators and community.

Our family loves Forest Glen! Forest Glen is an 'A' rated school by the State of Indiana. The teachers, staff and administration are wonderful. Forest Glen is a Spanish Immersion school with fantastic, native Spanish speaking staff and teachers. We love that our school is ethnically and culturally diverse. We are amazed daily by the education our boys are receiving at Forest Glen. Our 1st and 3rd grade children are able to understand, read and write in English and Spanish. We know the education they are receiving at Forest Glen will give them many opportunities in the future because of their ability to communicate in Spanish and English!

This school has the potential to be a great school because of the teachers and a lot of the staff. The current administration unfortunately is not so great. These past 5 star reviews are what this school was and what it could be. The current leadership has created an atmosphere of discrimination and vindictive behavior against both teachers and parents that do not agree with his views.

Forest Glen, and A rated school by the Indiana Dept. of Education, is a unique and amazing place. Students are taught in both English and Spanish with the goal of becoming bilingual. You can really see the progression in both languages as students enter the upper grade levels. They can speak, read and write in both English and Spanish. This program continues throughout junior high and high school (Fall Creek Valley Middle School & Lawrence North High School). The programs at Forest Glen truly increase a student's awareness of our global world and prepares them to excel in a global society. Other subjects are not forgotten - there is a strong focus daily on math skills, and science and social studies are taught in the upper grade levels. There is a fair amount of project work, along with a few school festivals each year that are fun and educational. Parental involvement is pretty high. People are down to earth, approachable and friendly. The teachers and administrators are great. Most are native Spanish speakers. They communicate with parents clearly and frequently. Forest Glen is more than a school, it is a family, a home.

I am very proud to tell people I meet that my children attend Forrest Glen son has attended there since the 1st grade and will be in the 3rd grade this year along with his sister who will be starting Kindergarten. We are grateful for the opportunity for them to not only learn Spanish but to be around children from various and very diverse backgrounds! The academics there are enforced and the teachers really have a love for children and teaching the Spanish language. Such a great school.

My son has attend Forest Glen since 1st grade. We have been extremely happy with every aspect of the school. Teachers are attentive and welcome parents in the classroom. Their communication with parents is also exceptional through computer, phone, and Friday folders. Students who follow the immersion program throughout school and graduate end up at the top of their graduating class. They also have experienced a small school environment since they have been with the same 50 students since kindergarten - this also increases parental engagement because we all know each other.

Forest Glen has an amazing language imersion program, that really gives the kids a leg up in all aspects of cognitive development.

This is our third year at Forest Glen and we love it. Our son is in the full immersion program and it is amazing how much Spanish he has learned in three years. The school provides a wonderful multi-cultural and racially diverse environment that we wanted for our children. Families are involved in the school and we couldn't be happier!
