I loved my daughters kindergarten teacher. The principal on the other hand and even the teachers on recess duty failed my child. They did not keep her safe. They did not let the parents know what was going. Not once did we get an apology. Nothing.

Terrible. Teachers and supervision allow bullying even at the 1st grade level. Very poor management of a bullying issue, more of an effort to cover it up.

Their preschool program is fantastic. Both teachers are just spectacular and we have had good experiences. My son’s kindergarten experience was not as “fun” as we were expecting. The teacher has high standards and not much personality. But, hey, my son is reading and writing and doing math better than I imagined- it in incredible! Took the whole year to adjust to expectations on classroom, etc but he is actually enjoying it for the most part now. So overall a good experience and we will stay at this school for all 3 kids. They do seem to have a concern of keeping kids progressing and testing well as most families are low-income. That can help and hurt as yes, he is excelling in academics, but my goal as a mom is also for him to play and have social growth. It is only Kindergarten! But then we are not concerned as my husband and I have advanced degrees and are very involved. The school is definitely doing what is right for the general student population. So surprised at how well my son is doing academically- even with strong dyslexia! It is a very friendly school with a community feel as well.
