This school is fantastic and the teachers are great.

My son goes to this school. It is one of the best things that ever happened to us as a family. My son is in Kindergarten, but the level of knowledge he has is that of a 2nd grader. He loves his teacher Ms. Farkas! The principal Mrs Zagatta is on of a kind! Knows almost all the kids by name and kisses and hugs them as she receives them "at the hill" every morning. The general office manager, Ms Nancy, always makes you feel like you visited a 5 star hotel when you show up at the office, very walm and caring and knows all the aspects of your child's needs. The PTO is unsurpassed by none!!I love this school!!!

I cannot even begin to express my dissatisfaction with the school... First let me start with the disaster that is the princial. Mrs. Rosanne Zagatta.. She is clueless, self centered and just all around difficult to deal with. The schools PTO is a cartel. It consits of friends, friend of friends and just all around busy buddies who will talk about anyone and everyone. The education, Blue Ribbon School --- what a disappointment. My suggestion, spend them money - go private

Jefferson School is truly a wonderful school where dedicated teachers and administration go above and beyond for the students. I am so proud to be a parent where my children get the best education a parent could want. A 2011 Blue Ribbon School, Jefferson continues to be a school to which parents can be proud. The PTO is very active and has just recently purchased many technology items to enhance education. The parents are very involved and caring to help the staff with activities.

Jefferson is a decent school, but not great. My child was in a class last year with a teacher who was there for more than 20 years and was done with teaching. She was overwhelmed because she had 26 or 27 kids in the class and just gave up. This year, my child has another teacher, who has also been there for more than 20 years and it's a completely different experience -- this teacher loves to teach and she makes the children love to learn. It's an amazing thing to see! Generally, there aren't any great programs going on at Jefferson because parent involvement is limited. Also, the principal is not open to new ideas, although she is a nice enough woman and does do a decent job.
