My personal opinion of this school is that for one… they need a better security system. One security guard and one metal detector is not the answer to protect this school. Just last week, a picture of a student sitting down with a gun in his pocket was shown everywhere and we as parents are not comfortable with the system they have. How was he even able to sneak a gun in past the detectors? Well we all know there is ways to pass those detectors but I feel you need more security guards and a much better system.

There’s so many things wrong with this school it’s really trifling , the school never puts the money they are provided with words the school there’s no telling what they spend it on there was plenty of times where the school would have little to no light because the light bill was not paid. There are missing ceiling tiles , the school has insect problems , the bathrooms are disgusting , the food is disgusting as well , majority of the class rooms are not in good condition . Some teachers absolutely suck at teaching or just don’t teach at all and that’s just sad.MOST IMPORTANTLY THE SCHOOL IS OVER CROWDED. I shouldn’t have to push through other kids just to get to my classes !

This school is the worst school my kids have ever attended. Teachers don't care about their students and counselors never answer emails or calls.

There is a bullying issue at this school. A lot of students don't respect their peers. Many kids are lonely and left out because of it. Most teachers are kind and helpful though, which is very important. I feel like less assignments could be helpful though. Extra work adds more stress and students nor teachers need that. Food could be better and the restrooms could be nicer.

The absolute worst school I have attended. Teachers do not care, students just do whatever, and admin are barley any help. I transferred back to virtual this year because of the experience I had and my teachers rarely even logged into the classes.

I hate this school!! Clayton County School System… you need to shut this me doors on this zoo. No order, kids out of control, teachers don’t care! Nobody ever answers tge phone … this place is a complete joke. Kids smoking caps in the building, shooting bee bee guns in the classroom… where is the principal.. Mr. Jordan I’m shocked that you let this school operate in this manner. You ran Jonesboro Middle like a fine tuned machine . The superintendent can’t be aware of tge fact that Lovejoy high is a circus show.

If you come to lovejoy for sports the only sport they care about is football and track...if you play any other sport and want to come to lovejoy choose another school.

I am a resident of Clayton County and my daughter attended Clayton County public schools since 6th grade with straight A's & B's she is a recent graduate of Lovejoy High School with a GPA of 3.8 she qualifies her for The GA Hope Scholarship.. She was recruited by 11 Colleges and she has chose a College in Georgia so she can receive the GA Hope Scholarship, but do to the lack of Lovejoy High School involvement with doing their job no one has sent off my daughter information to financial aide and was suppose to start college in 3 weeks.. The college she chose is now saying even with the scholarship she was offered from their school, she will still need financial support so now my husband and I now have to take out multiple loans for college even after we have all tried to contact the officials all school year and summer to confirm she was receiving GA Hope and all counselors even teachers have told me her grades and GPA was qualified to get GA Hope. I am contacting you to help me find someone in Lovejoy High School to submit the (1) piece of paper to financial Aide which takes less then 5 min. and her GA hope will be approved in 24 hours, My daughter has lost out on housing opportunities on campus due to lack of financial aide.. Please Help me, get my daughter the financial services she was promised and has worked so hard for.. Thank you--

This school has its up and downs it's really what u make out of it, but I would say they should do more cleaning of the school and do more in depth helping students with areas and subjects that everyone or occasionally struggles with more

I am a student at Lovejoy. Lovejoy High School is normally a bad school ,but everything is getting better. I have been at Lovejoy for 2 years. The school is only bad if you feed into the bad drama by hanging out with bad kids. Specially if you take regular or behind classes. We are trying to do our best at making Lovejoy great again ,because it used to be a great school. We are getting t-shirts and everything to walk around with to show off that we are trying to be better. We even made a hit song that deals with our Logo called (MLG 19) Making Lovejoy Great (Class of) 2019

The staff is very unprofessional. The educators doesn't show ambition towards the students. The school and staff needs to be reassessed and go to more training to be proficient when dealing with students' education and the public community.

this school is horrible. They dont care about the students. they have no supervision. My child is bullied here and when admin was in formed they did nothing. WORST SCHOOL EVER

Their counselors who are supposed to guide the students into higher education don't care about the students welfare or opinions. They give no help with what schools may best fit a student nor do they encourage kids to go attend college. The only thing counselors are there for are checks and lunch

Administration worse than the children. My children will NEVER go to this school again! I think I hate it more than they do. Really sad the way they treat the kids like criminals... this school need help!

I sub at this school and it was the worst experience ever. I have sub at other schools in clayton Co and had a nice experience. I subbed in other schools over metro atlanta and in other states and always looked forward to going back but I will never work at lovejoy again. The students are rude and undisciplined and disrespectful. And the staff was not helpful, the teachers looked stressed unhappy and hopeless. I wouldn't sub or teach there ever again

LJHS is not a good school at all, they don't communicate with the parents or the students to let them know if they are on track for graduation and they don't care about the safety of their kids. The moral is very high. Their counselor are terrible. When you go in to speak to them about your child, they want you to stand up behind the counter to talk to them. You have one that got it bad, cause she don't like anybody to come in her office. She act if she's to pretty to talk in her office. The office clerk is rude. Only thing that is good is the IB program. It seems like they focus on sports only.

LoveJoy High School. I am willing to change my address so that I will not be in this schools' district. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. These faciliators have DR in front of their names and it makes me wonder... WHY???? and are they above the possitions that they have.? They sure act as though they are
