When I was at this school in K-4, there were some great teacherw who tried to, and sometimes, sucessfully challengedus within the curriculum , but this school didn't challenge me as it should have. The school is now oppressed by the common core, so I do not believe this is necisarly the school's fault though. The school's quality slowly decreased as I moved up in grade level. My dissapointment with this school got to the point where I didn't have much of a desire to go to school, though I love to learn. The school was great in K-2, and I had multiple great teachers who made me a better person. The common core and the bullies caused me to leave this school. I am now in a new school not required to impliment common core, and being challenged.

This school is amazing! I moved here from California and I am shocked that such a great school is public. My daughter was in Mrs. Luziers class for Kindergarten and finished reading books! My other daughter has been in Carroll County schools since 3rd grade and I have honestly felt that they have gotten such an amazing education with good morals and structures implemented as well! Awesome school!!!

K-2 most of the teachers are great! Once you get past that point the quality continues to go down. All that is really being taught is how to get a good score on the MSA . The PTO is nothing more than a fundraiser. The opinion of many in the community is this school is decent if your child is a below average student or a special needs student, but very lacking in the tools to help average and above average students.

The teachers are outstanding. My child doesn't deal well with change and the third grade team is wonderful. My son can't wait to go to school and has made a lot of progress in reading. He was reading grade level before and now is reading on grade level and can't put a book down now. Whenever I have a concern, the principal/assistant principal always take care of it. They are both caring and friendly. They have a great volunteer program and the PTO is great as well. They have a lot of community events. So glad we chose this school, we couldn't be happier

This is a great schoo. My one kid is going there for 2 years and another kid wil join soon. Teachers are very co-operative and takes good care of kid. The school also has good focus on sports and exta curricular activities

I am very surprised at the negative reviews. I have had a very positive experience at Hampstead and we came from private school. My children are on both spectrums - my son is advanced and my daughter needs help. My son is placed in advanced Math and ILA classes to challenge him. My daughter struggles to do well and her teachers continually work with her and keep her on their "radar." I feel they are very open to the parents. I feel my children's needs are being met. I think the staff and principal are wonderful.

Very unfriendly staff and Principal. Not a pleasant atmosphere. Seems like you are bothering the staff if you have a question or concern. Children are not well watched and there are many problems. I would rather pay for private then expose my child again.

This school is not a top choice for us or others. There are many issues within the staff and the pricipal. It is such a sad thing considering how small and how much potential there is. There are a few teachers that are decent. There is a male teacher in the 2nd grade that is wonderful. The music teacher is great also. This school is a real disappointment. We moved from the area but if I were ever to move back I would rather spend the money and send my children to private school. There is no warmth to feel for your children and the subjects and the way they are taught is terrible. The school is also dirty. Real disspointment.
