I have a 3rd and 5th grader. The teachers at this school could not care less about the students safety and health. The counselors are more worried about getting your money than helping your child. I’m thinking about pulling both my kids out of this place. This school does not care about mental health and that is a big no to my family. The students here are very disrespectful and I’ve seen it when my own eyes. My third grader recently gotten bullied and yea hers did nothing about it! Another big no for my family.

The teachers make an effort to reach all students. Accommodations are in place for kids that may need it. The school offers Spanish, after school activities and lots of events out of school hours for the families. Small class sizes and returning students create a close community where the kids are comfortable and able to learn.

St .John’s has always been an excellent school for education along with a large parent presence to volunteer, help and collaborate. This has unfortunately changed since new leadership two years ago. Communication has gone to the wayside often with parents not receiving significant news until well after students. These is no longer a parental voice. The focus has changed from solid educational foundations and opportunities to 100% social media videos about how good they are and how they were voted best school- leaving a feeling of quantity vs. quality.

St. John School has consistently been an exceptional school with very dedicated and professional teachers. The drawback this past year has been that the new administration appears to regard parents as expendable. This has regrettably lead to an overall decline in effective communication and collaboration between parents and the school community.

I sent my child here hoping for a good education. The staff was very rude and did nothing for my child with learning differences after explaining and showing them proof. I also saw that politics were being heavily pushed in the classrooms and some inappropriate topics we’re discussed. Education was also not valued here .There was also some racism from peers and staff. I would not recommend this school.

St John is a wonderful school and community. It is faith-centered and has rigorous academics.

We currently have three children enrolled at St. John's and we could not be more pleased with the school! The Catholic Identity is a top priority to the school and influences every aspect of the children's education. Our children have encountered nothing but kind, compassionate, and highly competent teachers and staff. They have flourished in their time at St. John's and we cannot imagine having them anywhere else.

I am very disappointed in the lack of leadership in this school. Nobody at the school or parish is standing up for our children! They implemented a mask mandate 2 weeks before the school year started and after they took our tuition! These are not catholic values!! I am so disgusted and am thinking of pulling my child out!!

They just implemented mask mandates after originally saying they would be optional. This is nothing short of a betrayal and arguably this is theft. The diocese made their changes only AFTER they took tuition deposits. Dishonest and distasteful.

I have a 7th and 3rd grader- I can not imagine sending them any where else for schooling. The staff, environment and curriculum exceed my expectations! There are also so many personal touches and extra curricular activities that make this catholic school a perfect fit!

I have lived in Westminster for 14 years. It never really felt like home until our children began attending St. John's school. The teachers are so welcoming and caring but they also challenge the children academically. The new Pastor is gifted at bringing the school and parish families together.

These past 4 years (2 years in PreK, 1 year in Kindergarten and currently in 1st grade), St. John School has provided a strong foundation for my son and the young man he will soon become. The teachers are passionate and dedicated, the parents are invested and welcoming, the administration strives for excellence, and the children are developing lifelong friendships, all while building a strong faith and pushing the boundaries of new knowledge. Not only does St. John School focus on educating its students so they will become the best and the brightest, but it allows opportunities to connect with other St. John families. The School promotes a strong sense of community by sponsoring a variety of activities, such as the Mighty Eagle 5K & Color Fun Run, Living Stations of the Cross (which is acted out by our middle school students), Grandparents and Special Visitors Day, and the St. John School Family Spaghetti Dinner, just to name a few. I cannot stress enough the numerous benefits that my family and I have experienced during our time as members of the St. John community, a community where there is not only Christ-centered learning, but one where our students are taught to embrace their Catholic values as they grow into educated, community-minded citizens of the world and loving, faithful disciples of Christ.

I attended this school and now my son attends the school. He loves going to school everyday but he often comes home frustrated because he believes his teacher doesn't like him. He had a very caring and supportive teacher in PreK but his Kindergarten teacher doesn't seem caring. As a Kindergarten teacher you should be nurturing and caring.

This is a great school when actual teachers are there to teach. If you like paying full tuition for parent substitutes than this is the school for you. I know there are emergencies, but there is no plan in place when a teacher is unable to make it in except to call a random parent on the substitute list to teach your child.

St John has created a great environment for my boys. The experience in it self has really changed our lives. I would recommend this school to everyone who would like to have a phenomenal learning experience for your child. The caring and teaching atmosphere of each teacher, who is always ready to welcome you and your child with welcome arms...I know that this will be the last year for my boys ,I will forever be great full that I received a chance to be apart of the family...The PeeteBey Family

This is a true catholic school compared to other surrounding catholic schools. The students attend mass every week and are truly kind which is a reflection of the parents. I believe in the new principal. She is leading the school in a direction that will produce overall success. The teachers are excellent - nurturing and hold high expectations of their students. Academically, this school is vibrant and strong. I would highly recommend SJS to anyone.

My children have gone to this school for years. When he/she started here it was great- until we got the new principal a few years back. When the new principal came, the tuition grew per person, lunch prices grew (enormously), parents time in school was decreased... The list goes on. My daughter/son has often told of some teachers flaws, such as lack of organization, unreasonable punishment, lack of responsibility, disorder in the classroom etc. In conclusion I would like to state that in the long run, this school is headed in the wrong direction in all different ways.

We are the parents of four children, two that have graduated from St. John and two that are currently attending elementary and middle school at St. John. We all LOVE this school! The teachers are excellent, very caring, dedicated and talented and they really make school a "fun" learning environment. We love the Catholic identity at St. John School. Our graduates were very prepared for their academic future in high school and beyond. St. John challenges our children to be the best they can be, both academically and personally. Our children are receiving a wonderful education in a strong faith-filled environment. We are so happy to be a part of the St. John School community.

I have one child currently attending St. John. He started in K and is now in 2nd grade. He loves his school and was actually excited when the new school year began. I have been impressed with not only the academics and focus on the basics, but also the "specials" like foreign language and science. But what I have been most pleased with is the supportive environment of the student body. The older students appear to take a real interest in the younger students -- not only on campus but around the community. It is a refreshing place.

This school is really on the move, doing great things! My son is challenged academically everyday and learning so much. I am very impressed with the new strong math program and foreign language.
