We absolutely love Edison Elementary School! Edison's teachers and principal are caring, highly qualified, and inspire learning. My daughter loves school and talks happily about everything they did. She describes what she learned and how she was taught. I see the impact the teachers and support staff are making. Also, students have many fine arts opportunities including a district musical and orchestra.

I rate this schools as average almost bad. My son has been here since Pre-K and it has changes so much. The new principal is very condescending. Last year I witness the principle assistant talking to the kids so rude and disrespectful, needless to say shes no longer there. This year assistant to the principle is much better, she actually cares.

We love Edison! We have had amazing teachers every year and consider ourselves very lucky. I take an active role in their education ie PTA, and the teachers are so welcoming and appreciative of that. Sadly, there are many parents who do not take an active role and blame the staff and teachers for why their kids aren't thriving. Maybe that's the difference in our experiences. Thank you Edison staff and educators...for all you do!

I think we have one of the best schools in NW In. We have ex villainy teachers who go above and beyond their duties .

I think others should know this: The policies have become very strict. They make ALL STUDENTS TUCK IN THEIR SHIRTS. They are yelling at the kids too much. Especially one staff member I know. Not going mention names. But this "staff member" should talk to the kids in a NICE MANNER. If the staff yell at the kids, the kids will not listen because it is not nice and that triggers the reaction of rebellion on kids. WHAT I DO LIKE : I like the fact that the teachers I had are nice. And they taught me what I needed to know. IMPROVE IN : *Not yelling at the kids and treat the kids like we are very delicate when it comes to feelings.* (: Thank you for giving me a chance to talk and explain.

I am mother of one of the students and I can't believe teachers can't dress sharp nicely descent to teach our kids! My daughter came home and told me her teacher went with tenis shoes with holes on them !!! I couldn't believe it until one day I saw her teacher dressed like she was in a gang and didn't take a shower for a week !! What is the principal doing about it?? They are representing education teaching our children and it should of start from the way they dress , the kids see everything and they know us wrong! I hope this change they need to dress decent clean! 2nd grade teacher plz leave those clothes and shoes at home! Shame on you!

I like that the staff at the building is friendly and still asks about my other child who has gone on the high school.

My children are so far behind from this school its not funny. They do not do much to help them read or learn the things they need to know.
