My child absolutely loves this school. The principal works hard to greet every child every day, coming out to open car doors at drop off. I have watched numerous office staff, the principal and the counselor do their absolute best with a select few children who have severe behavioral issues. The staff at this school take their job and professionalism very seriously.

They don’t communicate really well and they don’t do anything about bullying with students and teachers

My child has gone here and now she's in fifth grade and she doesn't want to leave at the end of the school year. There are so many teachers we know and they are loving and they try there best to make sure every kid is at the top of his or her grade. I can't believe how amazing this school is. If anyone asked me what elementary school was the best I would say Hogan Cedars. All the way all the time. Our school motto is "on time and ready to learn" the teachers have fun and learn also! ;0)

The staff is kind, as helpful as they can be, and my son loved going here. He went to this school all the way through and received a very poor education. The class sizes are too large making it impossible for the teacher to focus on the each childs needs. Certain grades switch teachers on and off so in the middle of the week the teacher changes which always threw my son in a loop. Then, agreeing with a previous post, they expect your child to learn at there own pace and send them home with hours of homework. My child would dread homework because it was just so overwhelming. I did my best to tutor my son by spending an hour a day on homework and 1 hour a day working on reading (including weekends) and he is still very behind. He is now in middle school, looking at being held back at least once, has the reading level of a third grader, and the school did not once advice me to hold him back. He was just pushed through. I will top off by saying that I know even other children in my sons class struggled the same. My son was in the Title One reading group. Literally, his entire class but five kids were in there with him some even worse off than my son.
