I have had 4 students attend GMS, all with some form of learning disability (2 Asperger's, 1 ADHD, 1 dyslexic). All of the boys found their special interests and blossomed at this school. The 2013-14 school year was rough because we had an interim principal. Prior to that, and since the arrival of our new principal, things have been great. The teachers and staff are invested in the students, and administrators do a decent job of handling bullying issues. When things do get out of hand, which will happen in a building full of adolescents, they have a dedicated resource officer who truly loves the kids. Ii have had children in other middle schools, and none hold a candle to Greer.

This is our third week at this school (we just moved here from out of town) and my child likes the school overall. He says the teachers are great and the facilities are nice. He still likes the school, but he is saying that he's being called names and made fun of by a group of "popular" girls after school and doesn't want to return. Not sure if this is a problem in most middle schools but it wasn't where we came from and it's certainly never been a problem for my child before. I'm not exactly sure how to get to the bottom of this since it's a sensitive issue and my child doesn't want to be embarrassed.

My school is awesome! I have been here since sixth grade and I am so happy i came here. Everyone here is kind, the teachers are all amazing, and I thoroughly enjoy being here.
