Love this school, I have two children who attend here. We are active in the PTO and work with the teachers all the time. They are dedicated, hard working individuals. Class sizes are the best among the Elementary schools in Greenville. Would recommend it, but I will not because I want to keep those class sizes down. Send your kids to Baldwin, they always need more students. ;)

Proceed with caution My daughter was being followed by a girl so she asked her to stop following her. My daughter was written up for bullying this girl. She then was suspended from school over sending an email to her teacher. Basically, she sent it the night before asking something about "tomorrow." Due to her not being connected to wifi, when she was in school and connected, the email went out. So she was suspended for sending the email during school hours. The staff couldn't comprehend that possibility or admit the possibility of being wrong so stuck with the suspension. On the other end of the spectrum, my son was "beat up" by three children outside the doors of the school, even while parents were standing by. He was ignored and told me about it. The staff and administration did nothing. My son has also been threatened by a boy multiple times that he would "kill him" or "bring a knife to school for him." Nothing has been done because the boy has autism. If you have to live in Greenville, good luck, and please try to put your child in another school district. This was during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 school years.

My oldest son has attended this school for 6 years in the ISD preschool and then K-2 grade in the special eduacation department. For these reasons I am giving this school a 5 rating because of all the hard work and understanding of my sons disabilities and the excellent work of the educational instructors my child had during his years in this school. God Bless those teachers (you know who you are) and the rest of the educational team at Cedar Crest Elementary.
