I feel this school don't care about the children's safety they get bullied / threatened and once schools out its not their problem any more it's a school where teachers go to retire no extra support for special needs this school I'd give a 0 don't recommend I want a school for my kids that want to help them succeed in life.

I am so surprised that this school is still up amd running. They are not equipped to help children with learning difficulties. It is so sad to see so many child educators with no compassion for children. I would not recommend this school to anyone. I think all the educators in this establishment need to take a class on being compassionate and patient. I would never bring my children back to this school.

Kids are not all valued equally which is so frustrating.

We have 2 children attending Winograd. We have been part of the Winograd community for seven years. It is an extremely positive environment. The school is a modern 21st Century building. It is led by a strong, experienced principal. The teachers follow her lead and are dedicated professionals who strive for exceptionalism. The student body is diverse, racially and socio-economically, yet the school test scores are routinely the tops in the district and sometime the entire county. Staff uses the motto of COURAGE to teach positive values. Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. We cannot say enough great things about Winograd.

Both of my daughters go to this school (5th and 7th grade). They love it so much. The teachers and administrative staff truly care about the kids and it shows in a big way. I have not seen or heard of any bullying. I know that respect is the core of their student ideology and you can see it for yourselves in the way the students treat others. The school is secure. You have to be buzzed in during regular school hours, so there is less risk for the students attending. Winograd's athletic and music choices are fantastic. Choir, Band, Orchestra, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Swimming, Cross Country. this list goes on. I don't think you could find a better school in, or near, District 6. See it for yourselves.

This is by far the best middle school in Greeley! The teachers and administration are so committed to students from all socio-economic backgrounds. This is the true model of diversity in action. My child is in gifted and talented and more challenged in math and language arts than our past two children who attended a so called "advanced charter" in Greeley. You want safety, creativity, flexibility, communication and challenge for your child-this is it! My children come home everyday excited and exhausted-couldn't ask for more! Not a school for your typical "soccer mom" crowd. The parents I meet are committed hard working folk. Check out the recent test scores in middle school in math, reading, writing and science-the best in Weld County! The athletic programs, after school programs and school atmosphere are so engaging for both our daughters. If I had ten more children I would send them all to Winograd!

My daughter attended this school from K-2nd grade. It was an awful experience for my family. Although I felt that some of the teachers were well-rounded as far as personality and ability go, there was a strange attitude coming from some of the others. Some of the teachers were plainly difficult to get along with. There was clearly favoritism going on from Kindergarten right on up to Second grade. Students that were more aggressive were called upon more often and were rewarded for their outspoken behavior. If you have a more timid child, I would consider other options. My child was shy and her self esteem plummeted and worsened with each day that she attended this school. Eventually she didn't want to go to school at all and she and I would be in tears frequently. She is in a school now where the teachers and the staff are more positive in their approach and are meant to work with children. The opposite effect has occurred there. She is getting special group help that she wasn't at this school and I feel that the people there really care about her. I don't want to discount the really nice people who work at this school. There are a few.
