At the elementary level, this school is more concerned about giving students fun and engaging "learning" activities rather than actual academic progress. My child's teachers did not seem overly concerned that she was consistently reading below grade level from first grade to fifth grade. She never received specific, explicit, systematic instruction in phonics and decoding. She isn't "low" enough to qualify for special education services, so it seems like she just got left behind. I've spoken with other families with similar experiences, and looking at the test scores for both reading and math is concerning. School should be fun, but not at the expense of academic support and real learning growth.

This school does not value a safe environment for their students. During COVID, they continue to host House Events which mix the entire school, K-12, together. They will not encourage masks for the students who chose masking as their COVID prevention option. Two months into school, they are still not enforcing weekly testing, as promised. The director does not communicate well with concerned parents. She avoids issues and pretends she does not know about COVID or the concerns of parents. The school does not value prevention and education when it comes to COVID protocol. They would rather pretend COVID is a cold and not a threat to our community. My family tested positive for COVID because of the school's lack of attention, concern, and action. Their hope is to get everyone sick so we can get past it. I would not look forward to dealing with any concerning situation with this school, as the director and board of governors DO NOT CARE about you more than money. I tried for two months to get someone to listen. Their response was to turn off their emails. Also, they did not focus on teaching my child at all so far this school year. No homework, no challenging assignments, little effort all around. As someone with an education background, this is a poor excuse for an educational facility. Besides sports, what are they teaching?

This School has tons of bullying and no one does anything about it. Students make tons of racist, sexist, and homophobic jokes everyday.

Why not everybody else has them at 5 Stars or at 1 star? If your kids go there, you know what’s right or wrong with all this? Even if you don’t go here you see what all this is about? Principles on the side teachers and not looking for the problem that exists!! The director if school’s not listening to paro, but will listen to staff without knowing what’s happening or what happened. But just ignore the parent by acknowledging that she isn’t listening to you or what you have to say, are you kidding me? But if you answer phones for her.....????........ But what can you do? Just leave and don’t say anything more, that’s what they want? They cannot say otherwise and she knows all of this without lying on HER new job?? I’m sure this is going to effect what and how my kids do, oh wait it’s already happening!!!!!

Lots of tension, inequality. This school needs a change with the two top administrators.

Child was bullied over and over and principle and teachers didn’t act on it. There was also racial bias-BIG TIME! Terrible for my kids!

My children do not fit into the bell curve, so to speak. They both have IEPs and learning and health challenges. My impression from 95% of the teachers in the middle and high schools was that they didn't have time to deal with my 2 children. After 4 years of fighting battles, dealing with prejudice teachers (even special education teachers), and inadequate leadership, I pulled my children from this school. Extremely disappointing.

This school is wonderfully diverse, and has a student lead learning model rich with project based learning. I highly recommend it!

This is an amazing school where students feel valued and are encouraged to succeed through problem solving and individualization. We waited years to get in, and are so thrilled to have our children here. The teachers are wonderful and caring, and each day my child can't wait to see what is next at school. His 3rd/4th grade teacher, Ms. B. is the best we've seen, and we are sad she won't be his teacher next year. I hope with the expansion the school retains its commitment to the children, rather than simply a test score.

This is the best school I have ever been to. The teachers are amazing and they are willing to work with kids to help them out. The school has challenged me but I am able to excel. I am so glad I came to this school!
