If I had to do over would send my kids to Penn Schools - just overall lack of interest by staff and clergy. If you want to donate money to new buildings you might find experience more rewarding.

We have found St. Pius to be a wonderful learning environment - nurturing our daughter's growth in mind, spirit, heart, and soul. The teachers have been outstanding - always communicating, keeping us informed, and open to feedback and new ideas. St. Pius's leadership is top-notch. The principal knows her team and the students well and works diligently to keep on top of professional development, consistent communication, and educational advancement. We are very pleased with St. Pius this far and trust the pastor, principal, leaders, teachers, and staff to be our partners in educating both the mind and heart!

I would rate St. Pius X a 5 STAR school. They are considered the benchmark for excellence in education not only locally but on a state and national level as well. If you are looking for EXCELLENCE in an academic environment..You don’t need to look any further!! You just found it!!!

So many problems, not enough space to list! The fact that this school has had to scramble for teachers this year speaks volumes. The teachers are great in the middle school, where they have remained consistent. The younger grades, however, are seriously lacking in truly qualified teachers. And to say that this school isn't elitist is a joke - just look at the mansion that the parish is building for its priests! HA!

After a year and a half, we have pulled my middle school daughter from this school. Our family has decided to leave our younger son at St. Pius, but we are deeply saddened at the attention the bullying of our daughter received. We meet with administrators on 3 separate occasions, and no action was taken whatsoever toward the girls causing the problem. I can honestly say that our family worked very hard to help her fit in and get along with the other girls, as I am an elementary educator myself and was able to give our daughter many strategies to implement. St. Pius lost a wonderful girl who earned straight A's, volunteered in many programs, and was a talented athlete. She is definitely happier at her new school. Our son is fitting in well. Teacher communication is excellent, as long as we make the first move to check on him. Our family was looking for a great, friendly, faith-based school in order to keep our two children together, but it did not work out in our favor.

I am a middle school student at Saint Pius X, and I honestly really like my school. There is little to no bullying, the teachers are all nice, and the principal is very organized and on top of things. I love my school and despite previous bad reviews, know that your child will receive a great education here.

I am a parent of St. Pius and happened to read a previous review by another parent. I don't know why him/her got such a bad impression about the school but I feel mostly positive feedback from the parents. That's why so many families still want to get into the school, even on the waiting list. I am mostly impressed by the principal who works so diligently everyday. She is on top of every big or small issues might come up with. She makes visits to almost all classrooms everyday to observe the teaching. The front desk ladies are always ready to help at any moment. I had experiences with public school at PHM system and they are totally different. I don't think is fair to post such a negative comment on everybody in the school. So far all three of my kids loves all the teachers they had, from kindergarden to 6 grade. The school is getting a little too big, I do agree with it. But they do have a good classroom order thanks for the stractures that teachers set up for the students.

My three children have attended St. Pius since it opened in 2008. We could not be more pleased with the education as well as the spiritual training and guidance that the staff has provided. We have had experience in all grade levels and find the teachers to be well trained and compassionate. St Pius offers differentiation of instruction in all grade levels as well as a plethora of class opportunities. The building would not have the wonderful reputation as it does without the exceptional leadership of the principal and pastor. Both are visionaries and have the interest of all children and families in the forefront of the decision making. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a school for your children to make an appointment at St Pius and see first hand what a wonderful learning environment it is for your children!

Despite my taking the time and effort to post a review earlier today, this website has now removed it.There was nothing inappropriate or unacceptable in that review. It was an honest, heartfelt description of the unsatisfactory nature of St. Pius X's practices. Parents be forewarned: this school has a serious problem with a principal who is interested in covering up problems rather than airing and solving them. Teacher quality is hit or miss: a number of them are woefully lacking in teaching ability. An "us against them" mentality is pervasive at this school, spear-headed by the principal, especially in the area of bullying. And the facility, while new, is overcrowded, with some classes having to share lockers. The enrollment reported in the heading of this listing is 517, but this is not true -- it exceeded 600 this year -- the principal bragged about it at an assembly. The school was designed for a maximum of between four and five hundred. Now, let's see if this website has the courage to post this honest assessment of the problems at this school. If this post disappears like the other one did, then this website is useless as a tool for parents. They need to hear the truth!
