The quality of education can be a major concern. Students are not receiving adequate support or resources, and it can lead to a lack of engagement and poor academic performance. This could be helped by overcrowded classrooms, where teachers struggle to give individual attention to students.

I really like this place! It gives me all the help I need! I have a lot of friends and really great teachers! Everybody here accepts me for who I am, and I have nice, long conversations with my friends and teachers, and they compliment how far I've gotten since my 7th grade year, and they have a excellent Special Needs program that has excellent helpers! I recommend going here!

Pretty good. Teachers care and are nice. I have two suggestions that would greatly improve this school:1) Assign regular HW. Many of the teachers have bought into the questionable research claims regarding the inefficacy of HW. Certain subjects in particular (math and writing) require repetition and practice. My son has learned very little math this year despite getting A's in his class. He needs HW. 2) Almost every other middle school I'm aware of has an online portal where students and parents can see HW due dates and test dates. Bell does not. Instead, there are 5 pages for his math class and 1 for his science/english/geography classes. None of these are updated. None are clear, reliable sources of information. Bell - get with the times, simplify, and use a single site for this like so many other schools! You will see student performance increase!

0/10 it is just boring and painful to go through

My experience at Bell Middle School was horrendous. If there are any alternatives, any at all, please consider them. No student deserves to go through what I experienced during my time at this school.

My experience has been horrible. I would suggest people to find an alternative to this school. I am going to take my children to a charter school.

If your student is an A or B student in the iStem program, then they are a valued member of the school. However, if your child is not a stellar student, then god forbid they have any sort of disciplinary incident, because the school administrators will use the Jeffco district bureaucracy as a bludgeon to get get rid of students and parents they deem undesirable. They will use all sorts of various rules and district policies against students & parents, but can't seem to follow them themselves. The female administrators there also seem to have a problem with dad's who are the primary educational contact for their family - they seem to be intimidated by men who stand up for their kids, while at the same time allowing momma bear's to get in their face and yell at them. Finally, the school resource officer from the local PD is little more than a playground monitor and a bully with a badge.

Bell has an awesome iSTEM program! It's exposing my daughter to concepts she would otherwise not be exposed to, if at all, until high school or even college.

This school is very innovative and open-minded school. If your kid is active, talkative, creative, and outside of the box thinking type. This is a great fit! Although the students do not have a lot of homeworks, but the school encourages individual projects and group projects which are essential to today's working world. The school also has excellent orchestra programs!

The ISTEM program at Bell was excellent for our daughter. She was in it during 7th and 8th grade, and is doing great at Golden HS this year. There was a real sense of belonging in ISTEM, because the students were in a smaller subset for all of their core classes. We were very happy with the teachers and the administration, and highly recommend Bell to anyone trying to decide between this good neighborhood school and Manning.

Bell has listened to the community and amplified their programs to a great degree. At this point rumors from 15 years ago that linger are the only impediment to a higher score on this website. That is unfortunate, because Bell is definitely above average. There are 150 students on the wait list to get in.

Bell is a great school for everyone! My daughter is in 7th grade and is happy and thriving in middle school! What more could a parent want? Bell offers something for everyone. All the teachers and office staff I have met are really friendly, they have a free after school Interact Club that does community service work both inside and outside of the school, a new sports program that started this year and great electives! I went to 1 PTA meeting and was very impressed with the PTA board and their close relationship with the school. Good things are happening! Happy student - happy parents!

For the most part, the teachers have been great at this school. My daughter struggled with Math and Science in the past, but this year has really become excited about both subjects and is doing extremely well. I credit her turn around to her teachers.

This is not an academically oriented school and that includes the Honors iSTEM program. Teachers and staff are mostly friendly, but there is little to no classwork or homework, expectations are low, and serious/curious students are very bored.

I've been impressed with Bell's ability to challenge students of all types. Rigor has recently improved with a stronger honors program and now the introduction of the iSTEM option program for all students. A great environment, low levels of bullying and really strong teachers.
